What a lovely 2 night stay at the Royal Oak. All the staff are so nice, nothing is too much trouble. The room was a good size and comfortable. The pub restaurant is huge so no need to book. We had Sunday lunch, I had the 2 meat roast, beef and turkey which was tender and delicious. We will certainly use this place again when we're in the area. Big thanks to the Royal Oak!

This hotel was perfect for our overnight stay. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and go out of their way to help. Our room was clean and comfortable. The only downside was the bathroom which although clean needed a refurb as there was mould all over the ceiling, a crack in the sink, etc.

The room was basic, it was clean and the bed was really comfortable. This was booked as a no thrills stay for over Christmas and it ticked all the boxes, it is no thrills but it was clean, there was more than enough tea and coffee in the room. We will definitely stay here again 🙂

The room was clean ,tidy and quiet The only complaint ,if you can call it that was the lack of available power sockets in the room , apart from the tv there was just 2 other sockets which made things fairly tricky deciding which device gets charged !
