A little strange having no staff about, DIY breakfast. The room was spacious and clean. Good night sleep. Good value for the money.

Room 2, Hamilton, 2 Hamilton Rd, Lincoln - 18/9/2025 Available parking was helpful, though tight against side & back wall. Room was noisy as it was at the front next to a busy main road. Funfair nearby also very noisy (not Hamilton’s fault, but did affect the experience). Had to have shutters closed in room all the time for privacy, made it dark and needed light on all the time. Huge orange outside light illuminated the room all night. Front door of property was difficult to keep open when bags were at the bottom of the 3 stairs so trickey to retrieve and keep door open. 2 seater in room was ok but it really needed 2 chairs and a table instead. Breakfast food was welcome. Room was clean and facilities worked ok. I would give it 3/5 or 6/10 and would look elsewhere if I stayed in Lincoln again as I didn’t get much sleep.

Room was small, bathroom no room to swing a cat whilst sat on toilet knees were touching wall, black mould in shower so did not use, lack of plug sockets, cob web behind door been there awhile, walls cracked especially by window, will not stay again

First night was ok when i found the kitchen and bathroom. Second night all downstairs smelt of drugs Room was clean.Breakfast was not was advertised.When i wanted thebathroom last night before bed a lad and a lass was in there for a while and i needed the toilet.I would never stay again

Fantastic little stay at this place. You can really see that they have put some thought into how they do things to make yiur stay enjoyable. The bed was comfortable with fresh and clean bedsheets, the bathroom was clean with clean towels. The continental breakfast thatnis left in the room is a great odea. Simply pick up what you want, take it down to the dining area/kitchen area and prepare. I really enjoy it and will be back. For anyone who is interested, i am a youtuber and will be leaving a clip of my room and my thoughts on the Hamilton in one of my videos. My chanel is called 'tobe explores'

Good budget hotel, staff friendly, breakfast good, good kitchen if you needed to use it, will go back there next time am in Lincoln.

Convienient

No check-in and no keys. I was simply send lock codes. Given that I was arriving and leaving at unusual times this was ideal. The room was basic but it had everything I needed, including a fan, which was great as it was a warm night. One parking bay per room. Breakfast was provided in the room, with milk and other bits in the fridge. Would definitnely stay again.

The accommodation was basic but clean, which means a lot to me! Good size shower and a more than adequate continental style breakfast

Room was not cleaned - difficult to obtain refund

Arrived for a one night stay, the room had not been cleaned or had been stayed in after cleaning by someone who knew the rooms code as the room door locks are mechanical code locks that stay the same, there was unfinished coffee on the side, hair in the shower and toilet, hair in the bed, rubbish bin overflowing. Called the hotel who said no one from management was available to speak to, left after 15 minutes and booked a more reputable hotel. Then took weeks of calls after my trip given the run around about managers not being available. Finally called hotels.com and after a couple of calls over a week or two and escalating the case got a full refund

CLOSED TRAVEL LODGE.

I arrived at the Hamilton in Lincoln at 3.30 pm on Thursday 17th July for a stay of 4 days having paid £207.29 on Feb 26th by Nationwide credit card. The hotel was shut and all blinds down on all windows. I knocked the front door but no one was in. Sortley afterwards a young couple arrived and let themselves and when I tried to speak to them, he disappeared and the woman refused to speak to me and shut the door in my face. Therefore I had to find other accommodation for my stay. How do I claim a refund of £207.29 from Hotels.com. I am also taking up this matter with my credit card compsny Nationwide. Let us be honest if this Travel Lodge had closed I would have thought you would be aware of it. I await to here from you. Yours sincerly John Cantrill.

Cheap but not very cheerful!

Upon arrival bedsheet was obviously dirty, changed next day. Smallest En Suite I have ever seen. Room is very noisy with window open due to A607, very warm with window closed. Breakfast is minimal with no cereal bowl, on dessert spoon, no plate for bread, no knife. Only cutlery was one teaspoon. A toaster would have been nice. I accept there is a kitchen but it was on ground floor entailing a long staicase. Yes, it was cheap but will not stay again.

First impressions good, tidy and reasonably well furnished. Interior stairs and 1st floor landing very hot in evening, fan in room did not provide sufficient coolness. Shower in room had no cold water adjustment so was dangerously hot in fact scalding hot, therefore unable to use shower. Management not on site and despite 2 phone calls did not come and fix the shower as promised, in fact implied no problem as previous occupant did not report problem. Breakfast adequate but Cereal, bread for toast with cheese and preserves, yoghurt and small can of baked beans, milk for tea and Cereal is OK, but hardly a true Continental breakfast. Very difficult to understand Management staff on phone, didn't actually help at all, no apology for our inconvenience or offer of remuneration or offer to change rooms. Employing phone minders who do not speak English is not very helpful. Management apparently were supposed to be on site by 9am Monday morning but no sign of anyone at all. Would not recommend this place to our friends.
