This property was the GEM of our stay in the Canary Islands. We stayed at 5 properties during our 2 week trip, and this was my favorite. It is a bit off the beaten path, but that's what we loved about it. Clean, incredible staff, an amazing breakfast, clean quaint rooms, etc. Everything we had hoped and more. The pool was clean and crisp... amazing!

Good when the reception was open

It was disappointing that reception was closed when we arrived and service was minimal on our first day but when the reception opened the service was great! Friendly and helpful. Good breakfast and everything was very Covid secure. Good quiet location in the hills above Las Palmas (12 Euros for taxi into the city centre). They need to get rid of the his&hers pillows though! Not acceptable in 2020 to assume all of your clients are straight...

Beautiful Hotel run by Wonderful People

A beautiful property hosted by a wonderful staff. Agustin and Carlos especially were so kind and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure our stay at the hotel and experience on Gran Canaria was as enjoyable as possible. My only regret with Hotel Mondalón is that I could not stay longer. I will not look anywhere else when returning to Gran Canaria.

Short but comfortable stay

This was a quick stop, but should have stayed longer. The quality for the price was very good. It’s 10 minutes from the airport and not far from las Palmas. This would have been a great spot to see the whole island from with a rental. The restaurant had a small menu, but everything was delicious!

Beautiful hotel and friendly staff

Was here for a business trip just for a one night stay and I’ll definitely be back for a holiday! The building and surroundings are beautiful and staff are lovely too. The room was a little noisy but that’s just as it’s an old building I think and it didn’t bother me too much. Apart from that it was excellent!

Beautiful Rural Hotel

This hotel is a converted farmhouse and stables and has been beautifully converted. All the rooms are different and very nice. Their restaurant was excellent and the included breakfast was superb. The only one thing about this place at the moment their bar facilities are not available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I was told that every weekend they have functions such as barbeques which attract hundreds of people but as we were only there on Wednesday to Thursday we didn't see this. The staff were superb and as they are local did not speak a lot of English but that was easily overcome and added to the charm of the place. They also have a vineyard and make their own wine which was superb and very reasonably priced in the restaurant.

Modern spacious small boutique hotel

We could check in at 2pm, and were greeted by friendly and efficient staff. Room was spacious and well appointed, with TV, wifi, desk to work at etc. Outside there was a view of the hillside into the distance, vines and cultivation. The restaurant was modern, and a little bit dull until we discovered the steak option, which was the best steak I have eaten for several years. Breakfast out on the terrace was generous, and several hot food options were offered. The airport is a 20 min drive, and we used the access to the motorway to venture all over the island. We found a wonderful small village at the coast nearby where the fisherman cooperative grilled wonderful fresh fish. We will be back!

Fabulous hotel

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean and very comfortable, although because the ceilings were low (in our room - not sure about the others), taller people may not enjoy them as much. The breakfast, which is included, was delicious and we really enjoyed both suppers we had at the hotel. We would definitely go back!

Small, comfortable and cosy atmosphere

I was very pleased with my two-Night stay at this hotel (May 2016). The staff were particularly friendly and appeared genuine in wanting to provide a good service. This is a small hotel and there wasn't much going on, but it was peaceful and pleasant. My room and en-suite were clean and tidy. I loved the huge shower! There is a small-medium sized pool. I had a very tasty BBQ here on my last night, as this is the evening dinner they provide on Fridays. If you like the 'quieter life' then this may suit you well.

Lovely traditional style hotel in countryside

We really liked this hotel, wooden beams, interesting architecture, lovely setting in countryside and only 20 minutes from Las Palmas once we knew the route. The breakfasts are superb. Staff cooked meal for us when we arrived although it was very late.
