I booked this at the last minute and so pleased that I did. Excellent location, clean and lovely powerful shower. Very easy parking and the breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay again. 🙂

Bad service avoid if there is a wedding on

Paid for room and expressed I was getting married in the registry office next door it was on notes and was also confirmed on check in as I requested late checkout. Breakfast was really delayed because the wedding party who were using the hotel for their wedding had taken over the hotel. At 11am on the day of departure I had a knock on the door as my photographer whip was only in my room was told due to another wedding being hosted in the hotel that I was not allowed to go out the main entrance or be seen as heaven forbid someone saw me who was attending the hotel wedding so I was made to walk down a dirty fire escape, no apology, no discussion no respect that I was getting married too and had paid over the top in Largs to be next door to my venue. Very disappointing the hotel should not have accepted this booking or had made it clear. Very unprofessional and sub standard in their customer service I would certainly not recommend.

Location: Great on the sea front at Largs and next door to the famous Nardines restaurant. Parking: plenty of parking at hotel which is free. Note of caution: this is a hotel designed to host weddings. So depending on your stay there might be loud music until closing time (Midnight). Rooms: very comfortable and if you upgrade there is amazing views out to the sea. No air conditioning, but tea coffee making facilities. No fridge. Overall. Pleasant stay, safe quite location, but as I have said if wedding function may have to tolerate music until end of function. Decent breakfast, friendly staff and location is good.

The hotel is beautiful, and really clean. Breakfast was lovely and cooked fresh. The thing that let this hotel down for me was the smoke/fire alarm in the room which was bright green with the lights off, which made sleeping difficult. They need to address this, as I wouldn't stay again because of it. It was like sleeping under a street light.

Good location

Recently refurbished very pleasant hotel , though my room was rather small . A ‘big bear ‘ of mine us these absurdly small washbasins that hotels seem to b fitting . The plugs never work & the basin is too shallow so it’s impossible to wash one’s face without standing sideways on to the basin else you vang your head on the single tap . Shower screen too small so water splashes out into the floor saturating the bath mat , which in turn will very soon ruin the lovely flooring . Designers don’t seem to think if the actual practicalities . That said , it was a comfortable stay .

My daughter was married in the hitel and many guests stayed overnight. The wedding was beautifully planned and executed. The staff were really helpful and kept things moving smoothly. They could not have done more for us. The preperation room for the bridecand her party was perfect
