The staff was very friendly and helpful. We came in very late and they still up waiting for us. The owner was so good to us and the food was very good. They let us come back after skiing and take showers. What a pleasure to stay with them.

We booked a Queen bed room, and were put into a double room. Didn't ask to change because the place was pretty booked up on that day and there was no one we could ask - the check in was at a bar with the bartender. When we went to bed, I realized there were leaves and black stuff on the bed sheet under the cover. It made me think that the bed sheets weren't washed. The bathroom was no better. There were blood(?) stains on the curtain, and the cold water tap was broken. Not a great experience... Prob won't come back.
I went up to Schroon Lake for the July 4th weekend. My room was not ready nor was anyone preparing it (no employee showed up that day, apparently). Had to call management to get someone out to do it (unfortunate). The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom needed work (everything leaked), and it would have been nice if my towels were replaced from day to day. Since it was the most affordable option on the holiday weekend, I harbor no delusions about my stay. However, I've stayed at Microtels for $30/night that far exceeded the quality of this accommodation. Oh, yes, and WiFi in the rooms would have been a plus.

We want to let you know that Black Mountain Lodge is nowadays under new management and we have newly renovated all the guest rooms.
