This custom-built home exudes peace + tranquility. Perched above La Jolla Shores it's just a few blocks to the family friendly sandy beach. This contemporary home is the perfect place to get away from it all and relax while enjoying the sweeping views, pool and spa. Featuring tropically influenced materials and plants there is a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor spaces. Designed to accentuate the home's proximity to the ocean and the Shores neighborhood ethos—one of sand, surf, community, and connection with nature.
Upon entering this home, you will be struck by the open airy feeling and views. The main level features a large gourmet kitchen with a breakfast bar for 4. This chef kitchen has ample space to prepare a meal after a day at the beach or exploring La Jolla. Gaze out at the ocean through the pass-through window allowing for ease of entertaining. A counter/bar area has stools on the adjoining balcony making for an indoor-outdoor California vibe and the perfect place to relax. The balcony also has a seating area making it the perfect place to relax. The kitchen has a large pantry and an area to store beach gear. Just off the kitchen is the formal dining area and a small balcony with the bar-bar-b-que. The kitchen opens into the living room featuring a sofa sectional and a 50-inch TV. Off of the living room are two well-appointed bedrooms - a King ensuite and a Queen bedroom. A powder room is just off the queen bedroom. Guests can access the pool from the stairs just off the kitchen or from the lower level.
The upper level of the home has a second living area for everyone to enjoy and relax. Sit by the fireplace or watch your favorite show. The ocean view balcony features a couch and chairs letting you enjoy the view of the ocean, kayakers and hang gliders. The primary bedroom located just off the living area is a large private sanctuary featuring a king bed, gas fireplace and a 50-inch TV, an expansive bathroom features custom green marble. Relax in the soaking tub while taking in the views of the beach and shoreline. French doors off of the primary suite also access the ocean view balcony. The oversize bathroom and closets give you ample room for getting ready for a day out or at the beach.
The lower level features a family area with a TV and a work area; the perfect place to hang out after a day at the pool. The family area has direct access to the pool and hot tub. The patio just off of the family area also has an outdoor dining area. There are two additional bedrooms on with a king bed and one with a queen and a double. Both share a full bathroom.
The waterfall pool is the perfect spot to relax or enjoy the oversized hot tub. The pool area features tropical foliage and seating to enjoy the tranquility. There is a pool bathroom next to the hot tub.
An amazing bonus to this home is that it is just a ten-minute walk to the village of "the Shores" With several local eateries and convenience stores on Avenida De La Playa. This three level home was perfect for our three generation family holiday. Great views, lots of common space, living area in each level. Very walkable to beach, LaJolla and LaJolla Village. Despite being right next to a very busy road, it was exceptionally quiet. The priory managers were very helpful. The spa and pool were fun for the whole family even on a rainy day. Large kitchen was great for making communal meals. A big success for our family!
