Welcome to Casa Tiburón, our cozy, private villa on the beach in the charming fishing village of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, located midway between the bright lights of Puerto Vallarta and the quiet luxury of Punta de Mita on magnificent Banderas Bay.

Casa Tiburón is a comfortable, modern Mexican beachfront home with three bedrooms (king beds in all), two baths, and spacious indoor and outdoor living areas ideal for relaxing and socializing. We're just steps away from the yacht harbor, fresh fish market, town square, and many great restaurants and live music venues that La Cruz is famous for.

Sailing is what brought us (and a lot of other northerners) to the warm blue waters of La Cruz. But there's also great surfing, paddling, fishing, whale watching, shopping, sight-seeing, and exploring the islands, beaches and remote villages that hug the shores of Banderas Bay. Or you can choose none of the above and simply spend the day relaxing by the pool and planning your evening on the town.

However you like to spend your holiday, at Casa Tiburón you can do it in comfort, convenience and style. Bienvenido!

Return to La Cruz

This was our 4th visit to La Cruz over the past 30 years, once visiting friends with a beachfront home, twice on our boat anchored off the beach, and this time renting the beachfront house, Casa Tiburon. Other than the development of the marina, La Cruz has not changed much. It's still a sleepy village with dusty cobblestone streets, a few small restaurants and not much else. Casa Tiburon is a cozy gem, true to its VRBO pictures, well located above the La Cruz family beach and only a few steps from the new marina and it's thriving fish market. The house itself is well laid out with 3 large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen and comfortable living/dining area. Outdoors there are 3 gathering areas; above the pool, around the pool and down some stairs on a small lawn area with a shady palapa. We were there over the Christmas holiday week and the weather was sunny and around 80 degrees. With the slight ocean breeze we had little need for AC. The unheated pool was refreshing once you took the plunge and got used to it. We had a rental car so visited the surrounding towns of Sayulita, San Pancho, Punta Mita as well as Puerto Vallarta while there. However, if one is looking to just relax in the sun, the pool and beach location of this unit should fit the bill.

Super Place

This place has a lot of things going for it. Nice well furnished house for us three couples. Well stocked for your arrival. Lots of the basics were there like spices, coffee, coffee filters some condiments. There was even cold beer in the fridge. Maybe left by the last folks who stayed there but muchly appreciated? Beautiful view of bay. One of the best locations in town. Sunday Market at your door step, daily fish market 1/2 block away, all day sun, sometimes the music would trickle at night from the Oso's. Spent hours watching the yachts and fishing boats come into and out of the marina. All the appliances appeared fairly new. One of the fastest coffee maker around for those who need that quick shot of caffeine in the am. The washer and dryer were simple to operate. Beds were great. La Cruz has some very good restaurants that we did not expect. You will not be sorry for going there. Don't miss out on the smoked Marlin next door, made great tacos from it. If I had to be picky a better explanation of how to get bottled water delivered. Overall I would go back in a flash.....Orest

We had a wonderful stay at the house - the only complaint is the pool was way too cold to use. I don't recall the listing noting that the pool was not heated.

Excellent location and view

The pool, house and and view were just lovely. Would recommend noting that there is no air conditioning in the main part of the house, but there is a/c in the bedrooms.

Be aware

The owners advertise the house as air conditioned. Be aware that only the bedrooms have air conditioning. The house is clean and beautiful but very hot! We were there in October for our 40th anniversary and feel cheated as the house was so hot in the living/kitchen area that we could not even relax there in the evenings. I know the previous owner and she was shocked that they removed the air conditioner from the living room area. I complained to the owner but she never responded.

Awesome house for a fun and relaxing vacation.

We had a great vacation in a beautiful home. The view was amazing and the beach is really quiet and relaxing, we really enjoyed the pool. The market is extremely close which was perfect. Thanks for letting us stay at your home and discover a new paradise!
