Unique about he property was the pleasantness of the room interior and the gorgeous view on the city from our room’s balcony in the sixth floor. The architecture of the hotel, exterior and interior (take a walk from the lobby to the restaurant via the spiralling red corridor), is a vivid remnant of communism. However, don’t count on the in-house restaurant other than as a curious space, which is apparently also attached to a strip club with no customers and no music, but service is available 24/7 if you show up. Awesome place to stay in, also interesting to explore itself.

Decent hotel to explore Kiev from.

My stay at the salute hotel was good. they have an in hotel restaurant that also serves their breakfast and room service with decent food. My room was clean and mostly comfortable although the mattress for the bed was a little bit thin (but this is typical in my experience with beds in eastern europe). The only oddities I came across was that they don't accept credit card payments at the hotel so I had to withdraw funds from the ATM in the lobby (it was fee free so that's nice at least) over a couple of days to pay for the room. And the phone in the sitting room didn't work. Other than that, the my stay was decent and the area is nice. It isn't directly in the city center, but it's close and it was only a two or three dollar uber trip away if you don't feel like walking about a mile. But regardless the area is pleasant with multiple parks nearby and many restaurants if you don't want to eat at the hotel. The staff was helpful and spoke reasonable english but more important, they were always friendly and willing to try to help. I would recommend this place for someone who would like a quiet place to stay that isn't directly in the city center.

Great hotel, close to a lot of interesting sights.

I really didn’t know what to expect, but what a nice surprise. Walking in, the lobby is spacious and clean. The employee behind the desk spoke excellent English as did all the staff I encountered. The free breakfast was a little disappointing, but it was edible and different. The room it’s self was clean and comfortable. It was a little warm at night for me, even with the thermostat turned all the way down, but cracking the balcony door was all it took. Over all I would rate it a 4.5 due to the warm ness of the room and the lackluster breakfast. I will stay there again.
