It was my second stay at U villas Pandawa. I do like location (close to the best Melasti and Pandawa biches on Bukit). Staff is alway friendly and professional. Villa is spotless. Pillows are amazing )))

The villa was gorgeous, and very clean. However, the power went out on me three times. One which made me miss my birthday photo shoot in Caangu. I contacted security in the middle of the night several times only to get no answer. At 5 am I walked to the booth to find the night security guard sleep on the floor( Maintenance still did not show for several hours) The day security was amazing. He made sure you were very comfortable and went above and beyond to do so. Housekeeping was also great along with the lady’s at the check in. I also could not play my music due to permanent tenants complaining about the noise yet the villa is advertised as sound proof which is one of the reasons I booked it. There were stray cats and dogs roaming the property and I was extremely nervous as I am allergic to cats and one was waiting every time I came in and out. I think the previous guest were feeding him because he would cry at my door for at least an hour upon entry. To ease my frustration the manager did deliver a birthday cake to me for the inconvenience which was a nice gesture. However for my 50th birthday as a solo traveler I would have definitely stayed somewhere else.

Noisy neighbors and construction on villas

Please be advised of noise and construction at this property which is also quite far from town and difficult for taxis to find. While the villa itself was beautiful, the experience was so challenging I had to leave after 4 of my 7 days booked. I needed a quiet place to relax and overcome jet lag after long travels and this was a very rough start. I was rudely awakened by the neighbor’s music very early in the morning and during the day while napping or at the pool. And these villas are still under construction so that was also disruptive and really is something that guests should be advised about in advance. I actually cancelled a previous booking when they were very transparent with me about construction nearby. And a refund has not been possible due to a bunch of hoops I have to jump through with Expedia and an inability for hotels.com and the villa managers to figure it out on my behalf. While both companies have communicated with me and been pleasant, this is not how I want to be spending my time here nor should I it have to be.
