Great place to stay near Cochem

Nice family run hotel with helpful hosts. Enjoyed conversations over breakfast about the local area and things to do. Clean large room with view over the street. Free Riverside parking a short walk from the hotel. Nice alternative to staying directly in Cochem.

Ce couple est merveilleusement aimable. De plus, ils sont de bons conseils pour des sites à découvrir hors des circuits touristiques. La chambre est simple, mais l'accueil extra. Je garde un excellent souvenir de ce petit hÎtel tout simple, mais combien accueillant.

Economical location, no elevator

Pros: Very clean, nice breakfast, quiet town, economical Cons: No elevator: It would have been good to know that our room would be three flights up and the B&B does not have an elevator. Possible communication issues: The woman who greeted us had a difficult time explaining where to park, and did not ask for payment. This was due to my low proficieny in German coupled with her ability to speak English. In addition, I expected her to ask for payment or let me know that they already took payment. She finally said "But you must pay" as I was handing in the keys. I imagine the situation made her uncomfortable. Even with the communication issues and lack of elevator, I would return.

Small but Friendly Hotel

This is a small hotel run by a family in the small town Klotten. Although the lobby is tiny, the bedrooms are spacious with specially designed beddings and attractive decorations. The restaurant downstairs only provided breakfast so we had our dinner elsewhere in a nearby bar and restaurant. There are free parking spaces along the river bank not far away from the hotel. It was only a short drive to the attractions of Cochem Castle and Moselle Promenade.

This was exactly what we expected: clean, simple, not fancy, but a great place for a good night's sleep. The breakfast was generous and delicious, and the proprietors were friendly and welcoming.

Vi hade ingen utsikt mer Àn mot en vÀgg. Inga byten av handdukar pÄ 4 dagar och dessutom hÄrda, illaluktande handdukar. Fick rum tre trappor upp trots att vi bett om inga trappor. Ynkligt litet duschrum utan ventilation. Frukosten var ok men vÀrdparet satt som övervakare hela tiden. Vi fick bestÀlla antalet bröd första dagen, inga kex, knÀckebröd eller kakor.

Det hĂ€r var det vĂ€rsta hotellvistelse jag varit med om. Redan nĂ€r vi kom var vĂ€rdinnan tvĂ€r och opersonlig. Hon var irriterad av att vi ville ta med oss bagaget in frĂ„n bilen. Hon menade att brottsligheten var noll och dĂ€rför kunde vi lĂ€mna allt i bilen. NĂ€r vi fĂ„tt vĂ„rt rum försvann hon snabbt och var oantrĂ€ffbar. VĂ„ra sĂ€ngklĂ€der var redan anvĂ€nda med hĂ„r och smuts pĂ„ lakanen. Örngottet luktade illa. Kudden var ett trassel av skumgummibitar. SĂ€ngen var extremt obekvĂ€m sĂ„ vi hade bĂ„da rejĂ€lt ont i ryggen nĂ€r vi vaknade. Frukosten intogs med vĂ€rdinnan sittande en liten bit frĂ„n oss stirrande. Hon verkade kolla noga sĂ„ vi inte gjorde en smörgĂ„s och stoppade i fickan. BestĂ€ll definitivt inte ett rum hĂ€r dĂ„ allt var uselt.
