5 bedroom lovely home in Kleppe

This great holiday home is close to a bathing beach and Orrevatnet, a lake that is home to many birds. This is the largest lake in Jæren with one of the largest sandy beaches in Norway, Orrestrand. There is excellent fishing in the sea and the river. The area is known for its rich bird life and large fish production, such as vendace and eel. Nature reserve. Visit the towns of Bryne and Sandnes, just a short drive from the holiday home. This region is characterised by a flat landscape consisting of fields and farmland separated by dry stone walls. The coastline is popular with surfers thanks to the high waves of the North Sea.

Great place for a family, walking distance to beach. No food freezer.

A nice stay for a party of 8 (4 afults, 1 twenty-year-old, 3 teenagers ages15-17). Everyone loved this place, walking proximity to the ocean. But it is several miles to any stores, convenience and otherwise. The kids with us complained about that. There is a traditional mall about 15 min away, where they could hang out; but logistics of transportation to get to the mall need to be coordinated. Also, this property has a generous sized refrigerator, but no practical freezer (don't buy any ice cream or frozen entrées for supper.) While there is a LARGE freezer in the utility room, it is totally impractical for the occasional bag of meatcakes or ice cream. No hair dryer either. We did love the place, though, and would stay there again.

Net huisje in stinkend boerenland

Dit huisje is praktisch ingericht, en werd keurig schoon opgeleverd. Ruime tuin, plenty slaapplekken, prima keuken. Een groot nadeel is dat het is gelegen in hardcore Noors boerenland. Vlak achter de woning is een mestopslag. Boeren rijden (begin augustus geweest) af en aan met mestwagens om gier uit te rijden. Menig weiland is er bruin gekleurd. Ergste bijeffect is de penetrante stank, die zelf tot in het huisje doordringt. Gezonde buitenlucht? Niet echt. Maar, het Noordzeestrand is op loopafstand. En tal van fjorden en andere bezienswaardigheden zijn prima te berijden vanaf deze uitvalsbasis. De ritten vanaf de kust richting Noors binnenland zijn telkens fraai en uniek. Net als het Noorse landschap.
