Check in was smooth and it was a nice quiet resort. Getting around Kimberling City, and to Branson from this location was easy. We enjoyed using the pool, and my oldest and I walked down to the lake shore(it is a long walk with a very steep hill back up but can be driven). We hunted for the scenic trail and think we may have found it but it was overgrown and couldn't be traveled. We played a little basketball also. We had three nights where a smoke detector went off for unknown reasons, and two of those nights we were sleeping. The replaced the detector that went off the first night. You can't really get ahold of anyone outside the hours of 8am-8pm if something happens.
