Lovers Lodge is a comfortable and well-presented detached cottage, set just a 10 minute walk from the heart of the medieval and historic city of Kilkenny and can sleep eight people. There are two ground floor double bedrooms (one with an en-suite shower room, a double bedroom (only accessed from one side), a twin bedroom, a ground floor bathroom, a shower room, a kitchen with dining area and French doors to a sitting room with open fire (seats 5) and there is also a utility room. Outside there is off road parking for three cars and a patio to the rear. Lovers Lodge is a wonderful base for your well-deserved Irish break. Please note: This property cannot accept bookings checking in and out on the same day (unless it is Saturday). Please call to request if you wish to book to check in OR out on any day except for Saturday. Please note: property accepts a maximum of 8 guests including infants.

We liked the quiet neighborhood that gave us a reason for a nice walk every day to get to town. We had a plumbing issue in the evening and despite the owner being out of town she responded right away and sent someone over immediately to resolve it. Impressive responsiveness. We missed not having a dryer though.

This was a very lovely house, however there was an oil leak with a VERY STRONG ODOR !! This odor gave me a headache. The owner was aware of this problem because her son came over shortly after we arrived, said that they would get someone out to repair it but after 4 nights it was not repaired.. The electric tea kettle had so much red liquid sediment in it I was afraid to use it .. The liquid hand soap dispenser was almost empty in the bathroom. No extra toilet paper was provided.

Lovely cottage
Lovely cottage and well equipped. Its about a 20 minute walk into town but it is all flat walking. The only downside to the property is that there is no wifi. The bars and attractions are great and people extremely friendly. We all enjoyed our visit. Would definitely go back.

Lovely cottage in the great town on Kilkenny.
Our family of six was very comfortable in this house. Checkin was easy, and we were greeted with delicious scones. Plenty of parking space for two cars and only a short walk into Kilkenny. Loved our stay and would recommend this property highly for adults and families looking for a peaceful retreat.
