Rooms had no towels or drinking water when we arrived at this local Swahili-style accommodation. When given bathroom towels we were told to use the same towels for the beach. That night we kindly enquired if they would prepare a whole fish for us if we were to buy from the beach and we were rudely told no. Same rudeness again the next morning when I asked them to cut a fresh pineapple at breakfast. If this is their policy, no problem, but no need to speak badly. We packed our bags at
midday and left (even though we had paid for two nights), however not immediately as the reception who had our key was not there. We called the manager, who apologised, but did not respond to my request to refund one night. The feeling at this hotel was very bad, and the facility desperately needs attention. We found a hotel of exceptional standard for $5 more along the beach, and saw another couple staying who did exactly the same as us
