The hotel was in a great location and parking was easy. The room was dated and could use a freshen up to bring it into the 21st century. The room was hot but staff brought us a fan and used their key to allow us to open the window.

The Staff is very nice. The hotel is clean. Great location. The room was beautiful. Then we went to sleep it tried. The bed was horrible. It was an “upgraded” room. The mattress is unforgiving and did not allow us to sleep. We are now tired and awake at 330am considering leaving.

Overall a pretty good Best Western Hotel. City centre location is convenient. Breakfast was a good selection, however you need to walk through the Shopping mall it is located in to get to the restaurant where breakfast is served. Reception Staff helpful and friendly. Two comments for improvement; Firstly an air con upgrade for the rooms would be a good idea- there is only an air re-circulation/ heating unit in the bedrooms. Secondly, a selection of pillows would be good. The one pillow provided was a big square pillow with no substance to it. A warning - underground car park was €13 for the night. The rooms are very well priced though.

The hotel in Spohrstraße is in the same street as my grandparents lived before WW2. I was on a roots trip with some of my grandchildren. I want to tomstay in the same street. The hotel is extremely pleasant. The hotel reception staff speak English and are really nice. The rooms are great, clean and comfortable. There is a supermarket in the shopping center on site so we could buy fresh vegetables and fruit. Ample parking under the hotel. It was my second stay at the hotel and when I come to Kassel I would stay there again. As we keep kosher, I did not eat in any of the restaurants. The location is very good too. A great stay.

Good hotel for Kassel and Documenta

My son (who is 11) and I stayed for two nights to visit Documenta and the Bergpark and the hotel was perfect for us - comfortable, spacious rooms, good breakfasts and close to everything. The staff were very helpful and we will stay here again.

For the price (over 200 euros a night with parking) this is not a good value. The rooms are extremely outdated, with uncomfortable beds, and an oppressive smell of Febreeze-type room spray, and air conditioning that didn't seem to work at all. It was very difficult to sleep. The breakfast and the location were great, but not worth the price.

Bad service

The air condition is broken and even when I call the staff they show no care at all and tell me there's nothing they can do. When I check out and tell them I have cancel my another booking and show them the cancellation email, they say they don't care if I have the email or not and ask me who is the lady name I spoke my phone with. It was terrible experience and I would not recommend the hotel at all.
