A Tranquil Hideaway in the Bush – Perfect for Cyclists and Nature Lovers We had a fantastic stay at this unique property nestled in native bush, perched above the stunning Karangahake Gorge. The location is incredibly peaceful, with beautiful views and easy access to the local cycling trails — an ideal base for exploring the area. The accommodation itself was a brilliant mix of modern design and quirky timber touches, clearly crafted with care and creativity. The outdoor bath set amongst the trees was a standout — the perfect way to unwind after a day on the bike. Corrie, the host, was warm and helpful throughout our stay. It would have been lovely to meet her and the family in person, but everything was well communicated and thoughtfully arranged. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing, off-the-beaten-path getaway with comfort, character, and a real connection to nature.

Serene getaway

Beautiful setup with modern fittings. Love the wooden vibe looking out to a scenic view of green mountains. The outdoor bath & hammock a nice extra. Finally got to try those brownies & muesli and they were absolutely delicious thank you very much.

Relax and reset

This is a lovely spot to get away from the hustle and bustle, and reset and relax. The cabin is beautifully set up - very tidy, great views, beautiful decor and everything you need for a getaway. The outdoor tub is big and comfy, and a must do when you visit. The extra touches like homemade brownies and cereal really elevated our stay to the next level! Thank you to Corrie and the fam for creating such a lovely space.

Hiking / Fishing getaway

Had a great day in a beautiful area. Close to trails, waterfalls, and easy hikes. Had I brought my fly rod I could have gone into the fishing more but a perfect river just minutes away. The hosts were helpful, and communicative. Since we were showing up alittle late, they made sure we were ok once it got dark and had the lights on for us when we arrived. It was a rainy windy night that added to the cozy feel of the house. The homemade brownies and cereal made for a perfect start to the day. The road below did produce some noise that may irritate some but it didn’t take away from our experience.
