very clean hotel even it's old, staff very friendly and helpful when we asked how to switch off the aisle light during hte night time. great location too. the free car park is so convenient, easy to park. will come back again for sure :))

They did a few extra efforts for me, e.g. providing extra mirror in my room, even I told them I love to have, but don’t bother. Also, they mail me my clothes that I lost in the room.

This hotel was a great place to stay. I booked this hotel twice and the only complaint I have is that the room keys stop working sometimes so you have to go back down to the lobby, which may be quite along walk since this property is quite large compared to others. This was a minor problem in my opinion. Everything else about the hotel was great. Very kind and helpful staff and we loved the spacious room and city views.

I stayed more than 2 weeks because I was having my wedding in Kaohsiung. I travel with my family, we even booked 2 rooms and my friends 2 more rooms and the service was really not up to standard. We keep having issues mainly because of the language. The hotel said they speak English, Spanish, German, etc. The truth is every time we wanted to call room service or other they barely speak English. They kept bringing us the wrong order and try to charge us for it because they couldn’t understand what we asked for in the first place and they were not helpful at all! Even for my wedding day we request a simple favor, to clean on of the rooms earlier to do the tea ceremony, as they couldn’t lent us a room for 1 hour and wanted to charge us 8,000NT, and they said they couldn't! clean 1 room earlier! My husband, that is Taiwanese had to come over(not staying at the hotel)call the manager for them to agree. The worst part, I mistook the date of arrival and put a day earlier which I personally went the day before check-in to talk to the manager to see if they could kindly not charge it. They agreed, they couldn’t do it right away because I booked through Hotels.com, but they assure me if I didn’t’ use it, after hotels.com called them they could refund me the day. However, I contact them later for the refund and they answer that even if I didn’t use the room they will charge me, I reply them an email that I spoke with Ms.X where she assure me they will refund me. They never reply back!

Comfortable but required improvement

Overall room conditions and layout was comfortable. Check-in staff was helpful in accommodate our special request. However, there were some recommended improvement to be made. Windows facing ocean was not clean enough to have a clear distant view. Lifts to rooms from lobby (39/F) are different from that to lobby from street level and that to U/G car park from street level. Minimum service charges applied to one of the restaurants.

Food in the Brassiere needs to improve especially the European cusine. The room had a nice view, but I'm guessing even a city view at 61 floors high will be good.
