Quality Comfort

This house is very high quality and comfortable. Everything you need for a great vacation. We only used the upstairs king and it was wonderful. The bed was just as good as home and the linens were so inviting. The bathroom was lux and the jetted bathtub was a surprise enjoyment. The pictures do not do the pool area justice: truly resort style. The hot tub was so nice! My only notes are that it was kept too hot. I bet it was 110 degrees. We have a hot tub at home so I’m pretty aware of their temperatures. I’d have it at 102 or so if I could have changed. They do not have instructions for using the beach club access card. I asked the customer service and they didn’t know. Their answer was something like, “this property doesn’t have beach access, sorry for the misunderstanding”. Well it does and here is how you use it: take the key card with you. Follow your GPS to Napau restaurant. When you turn right into the drive gate, use the key card to open the gate. Simple but without some guidance, you just don’t know.! I’ve been assured that instructions have been added to the unit’s guide book. Book it! Wonderful place! Close to Hapuna beach which was our favorite on the big island.

Unit very functional, although a few more kitchen items like a whisk and salad spinner would help. Lanai furniture needs a serious upgrade and rearranging. The 4 lounges stored in the small lanai took up too much space and were less than appealing in cleanliness. The extra bbq also takes up valuable space. So an overhaul with new furniture designed for sitting outdoors would really enhance the unit. The Mauna Lani shopping and restaurant area looks depressed with so many shops closed. The resort has lost the great vibe it had several years ago. Not much of anything fun going on at the Mauna Lani Centre now. Overall, good basic accommodation but could benefit from some upgrades.

We love The Mauna Lani area and return every year. These units are spacious, clean and very convenient to a beautiful area of the big island. The bonus of having the beach club to go to with a wonderful restaurant and view!!

Had all amenities needed, close to beach, quiet, comfortable beds, A/C was nice. The only issue was with the manager at the Fairways. Apparently, they recently decided to lock the gate to get into the property and if there were multiple people staying with only one key it was irritating and if there was an evacuation it was difficult to get out.

The Fairways at Mauna Lani

The fairways…at mauna lani This home was perfect for our needs. The four of us were comfortable with the size of the place which allowed us own space. The kitchen had all the amenities that made preparing meals easy. The bedrooms were very comfortable. The house was situated a stones throw from the main entrance, swimming pool and hot tub. The fairways was easy walking distance from foodland, tommy bahamas and the fairmont resort and beach…perfect.

Condo had no condiments, no basics like olive oil or soy sauce. These are things always have in Fairways condos. Coffee makers up in closet. Had to find. Unit is in poor location near entrance and road Tv almost impossible to use Was clean unit and bed comfortable

I've stayed in a lot of VRBOs, many Hawaii. Usually, as soon as you check in you start seeing differences between what was advertised vs reality. Not the case here. In fact, property exceeded expectaions un many ways. Clean, comfortable, quiet, well stocked, good quality furniture, etc. Plus, location is ideal. Actually walking distance to shops on one side and Fairmont on the other. Would totally stay here again.

This place was ideal for the meeting I was attending at the Fairmont Orchid - 10 minute walk. We liked every aspect of the arrangement/condo except to find out long after we rented it that if we had waited, the price would have been significantly less.
