Arrive before closing of reception when staff is t

First we had a problem with the check-in as we arrived 10 minutes after closing. Normally we should have received a SMS with a code for the key box, but did not. Calling the number at Hotels.com got us through to a closed reception, which promised to call back. Finally we found an immergency number and the key. In the room we got the surprise only to find a single room,, even though we had booked and paid for a double, so we had to share pillow, eider down and towel. Fortunately it was a double bed.

Perfect getaway hotel

Lovely 2 days getaway vercation. This hotel is cozy and has a modern feeling inside. Many rooms has exit to "private" terrace - which is kinda unique. The location is perfect, the nature is very beautiful and the area has a lot of trails along the coast.

Excellent surprice

A very good experience. We are definitely coming back. The hotel is with a beautiful view next to the sea in a quiet location not far from Kalundborg. The room was bigger and better than we had expected under the Zleep name. The restaurant is excellent and we really enjoyed the gourmet dinner.

Could be great

The hotel is in a beautiful setting and the restaurant is a great place to have dinner. Breakfast is also very good. There are a few things that are far from perfect though. There is no tea or coffee facilities in the room, instead you have to go to the breakfast room to get a cup and you will be charged for it. The room was also not very clean. The sheets on my bed were stained with blood and there was stones/dirt on the floor in the bathroom. The desk in the room is also quite small so I ended up working in the breakfast room.

Pretty location, but....

When we checked into the hotel, we were told the upgraded room we booked overlooked a courtyard where there was going to be a late party, and we were offered a much smaller room (tiny bathroom) in another wing (with no corresponding refund credit to our prepaid cost offered). We elected to stay in the bigger room. There is no AC (they delivered a fan) so we kept the windows open. Yes, there was noise from the party, but more disturbing was the smoke wafting into our room. The second night, we stopped by the restaurant which is supposed to have a great tasting menu, and were told they were fully booked. I feel the hotel should alert guests that they need to make a reservation for the only restaurant on premises. Guests should receive first priority. The location is a little remote, but we were able to take day trips. On our way from Kalundborg, we ran across a couple of fields full of poppies which made us happy. No tissues in the room.

Clean, friendly but very lonely after 8 pm......

Quite a remote location, long way from Kalundborg. The website indicated a restaurant but on the two nights I stayed - 9th & 10th November - no restaurant, due to "water damage". Friendly desk staff but she goes home at 8 pm so not even a chance to have a beer after that time. Room overlooked the sea and was comfortable. Modern, clean but very basic. No tea or coffee making so, same scenario after 8 pm, your on your own! I won't be going back.

Long way from the town centre.

Restaurant isn't open on Sunday night & when it is open the selection isn't huge. Either a 3 or 5 course fixed menu, a steak or sole. Rooms didn't have AC and only a single duvet plus as I was alone it seems that there was only 1 towel too.

Nice hotel with great food

Only stayed for one night but it was a pleasant stay. Strange having nobody on reception after 8pm and they have great trust in their guests (leave beer by reception to help yourself and pay the next day!!). Evening meal was simply excellent. Not a great deal of choice but that's often so they can produce quality in what they do offer...and they certainly did that. Only 'criticism' was that I found the room extremely hot and it wasn't that warm an evening.. Overall though, very pleasant stay and I would return in future if I ever revisit the area

Nice hotel. It no bar. Beers left out in the evening after the receptionist goes home at around 2000. But other guests tend to take 3-4 at a time so they have enough, which tends to leave the guests who have gone into Kalundborg for dinner with nothing upon the return. Rooms are clean, no aircon though but wasn't an issue. Lovely jetty and great views. The locals use this also but they are lovely and chatty. Wifi was very good also. I will continue to use this hotel.

A fantastic, peaceful little gem

Out of the way from riwn a few kilometers but on the sea and small and peaceful and charming and lovely. But breakfast was sparse and expensive and I'd skip it.
