Great location and surrounding areas of this resort.close to the beaches suitable for snorkeling where we went every day. Beautiful green space in the resort and it has three swimming pools but we just didn’t have time to enjoy. Love the space of the unit we stayed. Very clean, staff are very nice and friendly. The only issue we had with our unit was lacking some basic kitchen appliances/tool such as electric kettle, scissor and basic ingredients. Fortunately we bought ingredients for our previous stay at Hilo. We understand that some units managed by the resort belong to different owners. We would like to come back but want to pick a different unit.

Amazing stay at Castle Kanaloa! We rented two units for our large family vacation and both were very clean, had amazing ocean views, and accommodated us very well. Would definitely stay again!

Terrible stay. We booked for 6, they gave us a room for 4 guests and told us they cannot do anything, they didn’t have anything else. I would NEVER stay here again nor recommend it to anyone. The picture frame hinges were loose, one fell while we were sleeping and we thought there was a gun shot. No housekeeping, very poor toiletries, no one comes to check on towels.

Need to know that you will be charged daily for air condiotioning that we needed. So this added several hundred onto the bill. The internet did not work and after requesting to fix it it still wouldn't work. The housekeeping staff were great with replacement towels when needed. The room we had did not look like the picture at all. we had to go up a flight of stairs to reach the main living area and another flight to get to the master bedroom that opened to the living area below. we expected the rooms to all be on one level.

We had booked for oceanfront unit and have a written confirmation on 10/2024. When we checked in they did not honor the confirmation from them since it was done through Expedia. They said extra $300 I said fine and was told no availability.!I called Expedia and was told I got same room it was not. It was a partial Ocenview. Five days later they gave us an Oceanfront. We still lost five days for lower rated room.

We had a 2 bedroom Ocean View condo. It was very affordable for 6 people for 10 days. The condo had plenty of space including a large upstairs bedroom with a full bath with a partial ocean view patio, a bedroom on the middle floor with a patio facing the mountain side, a large living room/dining area, large enough full kitchen, and another large ocean front patio where we comfortably sat all six of us. The room itself though not super updated(but that didn’t matter to us) was very clean, had plenty of amenities such as dishes, cookware, towels/toiletries and additional upon request. The hosts also had extra things such as paddle boards, goggles, a snorkel set and tennis balls available to use which I thought was a lovely extra. The only thing I did not like about the room that I was disappointed about was that the “1 double sofa bed” listed in the ad was an air mattress. I was expecting a pull out couch. When I requested a rollaway bed, they did not have any. The area was quiet, had several community bbqs in which we used regularly and were always able to find an open one that was easy to use. Pools were clean and not overcrowded(we did go during off season in October). The view of the ocean was amazing, although there were a couple palm trees that obstructed the view at sunset. Overall, with 4 adults, a 15 year old and a 7 year old, we really enjoyed the condo and the property. If we return to the area, we would stay here again if it were still affordable and available.

Condo we got had a poor beds fans stays on only when the light is on and ac didn’t get cold stayed at 80 degrees sleeping at night was terrible we only had the fan with the lights on for air movement. Needs to be updated for sure. Looks nothing like the pictures.

This property was beautifully landscaped and wonderfully appointed. They included beach chairs, snorkel equipment, water shoes, tennis equipment, boogie boards, sand toys, etc. It was great! The only thing I could have asked was for six beach towels instead of four, as we had six in our family. But it wasn't a huge deal. The kitchen was well-appointed, too. And the view was stunning. The balcony was huge. The vaulted ceilings were lovely. We really felt like island royalty! Definitely would love to return.

We are a family of 6 and this place was great! The various pools were awesome. The kids found monopoly in the closet and played every night. The bed in the master bedroom had a super hard mattress, but some people love that.

We’ve stayed here many times and love it. This was the first time the room wasn’t ready at check in and we had to wait two hours for it to be cleaned. A big bummer after a 6 hour flight but staff was very gracious and gave us complimentary ac for our troubles. Wish I could say the room was clean after waiting but kitchen and bathrooms were not clean so I spent the first hour cleaning them with minimal supplies. Will still return again, just made me sad to see the decline in cleanliness and care of the condo we were in.

Wonderful ocean front location. Gated security. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub after the day’s adventures. Just note the fees stated that will be paid onsite. Grateful I noticed other reviews stated air conditioning has a separate fee. That wasn’t easily clear in the listing. We went early June and didn’t need A/C for our visit.
