Due to Maui’s rural atmosphere you may experience the occasional rooster, as well as harmless geckos. Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaii. Hawaii is located in a tropical climate, and insects, rodents and lizards flourish in this environment. This property is a hidden gem. The hosts were wonderful with quickly answering a million pesky questions. The room was perfect and offered everything needed for a college graduation celebration week. The beach in front is better than some of the more costly resorts. The shuttle to Whaler's and Black Rock and back make getting around without a car quite simple. The property is conveniently located with easy access up and down Kaanapali. We will definitely use again. Thank you!
