Maude, the host was fabulous. The chalet is so cozy and inviting. A great place to chill and hang by the gas fireplace. Take a break on the deck, with your coffee listening to the bubbling stream out back. The chalet was fully equipped and very clean. Would definitely book again!!

We're retirees from Kansas on long New England leaf-peeping road trip. Foliage colors were spectacular, stayed Oct. 7-9. Gas fireplace was perfect for chilly nights. It'll be hard to beat the amazing back deck and streamside seating to enjoy the soothing rushing water sounds and the views of the trees! You might want to grab groceries well before you arrive, as options are limited and pricey. Maude was extremely helpful and responsive. Thank you for sharing your charming Red Chalet!

Relaxing chalet retreat

We used this as a home base for Stowe, Lake Champlain, and the Smugglers Notch area. It was the perfect little chalet and had all the amenities we needed. We loved the creek below and spent afternoons after our day trips there to cool down. We were a family of four and it was a perfect space for us.

Cute and neat

Very cute and has everything you need . Location to smugs is great, but the road to stowe thru the notch is closed all winter so its 50 min to there. Bummer. It rained and froze so the rock sidewalk was super icy and the spiral stairs are tight, so be careful if anyone has mobility issues. The owner was responsive and the place was warm,clean and ready when we got there late. The river roaring in the backyard was pretty cool and the layout inside was really well-done. Perfect place to feel like a Vermonter!

Perfect Weekend Ski Trip

My son and I stayed over the MLK holiday weekend and went skiing at Smuggler’s Notch. Perfect location and set up! We were a 2 minute drive to the lodge/parking lot. The resort village is easily accessible. And the house itself is great! It has plenty of privacy and very well suited for skiing. The owners are very responsive and hospitable. We recommend it to any couple or small family!

Lovely time

A truly lovely experience. The property was tucked away and very quiet. The kitchen was well equipped, the couch and mattress were supportive and comfy, and the Internet was pretty decent. We enjoyed the fireplace, and a few moments of bliss on the back porch before a giant spider built a web right in the door frame. It might be nice to have a TV in the primary bedroom and curtains on the front and back porch doors. And though they are very serviceable the bedside tables were wobbly... But that's not the biggest deal.

Peaceful, relaxing environment a super chalet.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience staying in the Vintage Chalet. Everything was so clean and the air conditioning made is comfortable during the heat wave we had to deal with. Maude is extremely welcoming and friendly. We couldn’t have picked a better place to stay.

So perfect!

This cute little red cottage was absolutely perfect! Location was so private and yet perfect to get around from. The stream in the back yard served as the best sound machine of pure nature and relaxation. Morning coffee listening to it was the best start to the day! We enjoyed disc golf just down the road only a couple of minutes. Checked out the new brewery Lot 6. We wanted privacy and this was everything we wanted! Maude was super helpful and responsive! I highly recommend this cottage for a restful romantic getaway!

Just perfect! The quaintness of the location, with the woods and sound of water babbling behind the chalet made us forget everything! Adorable Chalet

The chalet was just the right size for our family of 4. It had tons of charm but all the modern conveniences. Quieter than staying at the resort and so convenient to skiing. We loved our stay and would definitely go back again.
