Great place to stay near Centre College

We stayed here while coaching an event at Centre College. It was great for the 4 of us! We didn’t read the part about guests may be staying in the downstairs part of the house, so we were nervous about that. However, it was no problem…we never saw each other! Would stay again!

Don't Ever Stay Here!!!

We are trying to get our money back. The pictures are very misleading. The house has never been updated. This place is dirty, disgusting and in disrepair. Sofa is soiled, stained and full of mold and crumbs. Plastic plates and utensils are gross. Walls in house are chipped and dirty. We did not stay here because it was awful.

Excellent area , home needs attention in some areas , door locks broken and wasn’t real secure . Probably didn’t need them as area was really nice , but would feel secure if doors would lock properly. Excellent price in my opinion

This house is wonderfully located. Very close to downtown indianapolis in a beautiful old neighborhood of well kept craftsman style homes from the early twentieth century. This particular property, however, has not been well kept and is currently not being well kept. There is a lot of rot on the deck, And it is very spongy when you walk across it.. The yard needs to be cleaned. There are bare electrical wires hanging from trees in the yard. The wiring is old does not have a second ground on outlets. And the windows are painted shut so in the case of a fire or storm damage you would not be able to escape the bedrooms. There is only one bathroom In a house that sleeps six guests. Walls and doors in the house show signs of domestic violence.

Photos extremely deceptive

House not in the condition shown in photos. Paint & wallpaper peeling. Ceilings & trim need replaced everywhere. Floors have many worn areas with lots of paint on wood floors. New flooring in upstairs bedrooms, bathrooms, & kitchen. Many lights don’t function and no outlets with easy to charge places near beds. Some outlets don’t even work. Back porch doesn’t have same look as photos and one big board very soft right outside door. Lucky we didn’t fall through deck. Beds very soft and uncomfortable. Not many towels in house. Internet does work most of the time. Door locks were easy to use for front and back door with code. Warning upstairs bedrooms have window a/c units. Downstairs stays pretty cool. No dishwasher in kitchen as described. Cabinets very bare in kitchen - only butter knives to cut with and one small pan. Make sure you bring other kitchen equipment if you plan to cook at all. They did provide 1 paper towel and lots of toilet paper and hand soap. Dryer in basement was handy for the stay. Overall I would not stay here again.

Run f away from HOMEBASE

I called the management about the following and have yet, 3 days later, to get a response. The listing states included in the property is: seating for 8, a dishwasher, garden, 2200sq feet, sofa bed, access to a 2 car garage-there is none of those. The porch door is bolted shut All of the windows are painted shut. The front door is missing a doorknob. The master bedroom door is splintered and does not latch. The toilet in the master bedroom is not bolted down properly and wobbles when used. The floor in the master bathroom is bubbling at the corner of the vanity. The wallpaper is peeling in the master. The ceiling in the master is also peeling. There is a quarter size hole in the master bathroom door under the knob. It enables you to see through the door. The master window is broken and weeds have started to grow through it. There is no hot water in the kitchen for dishes. Several drawers in the kitchen are broken and/or missing pulls. The yard is overgrown and unfit for outside use. There is no flood light in the parking area or the back porch. It is dangerously dark. The front deadbolt does not work properly. The porch has several soft spots and most of the railing is visibly rotted. The paint is peeling in the living rooms There is a strong odor in the kitchen The pictures on the listing should be updated, They do not accurately represent the condition of the property. Vrbo said they can do nothing and bear no responsibility. Awesome.
