Some mountain rentals look the part. The Bailey actually delivers — memory foam beds, seasonal Eddie Bauer linens, Eddie Bauer and Woolrich quilts, and covered porches built for the kind of evening you came here to have.
Named after our best dog, Bailey, this 2-bedroom, 1-bath bungalow was built for couples who hike, explore, travel with their dogs, and want somewhere genuinely special to come home to. Perched on a quiet residential hillside overlooking Hot Springs, NC, The Bailey offers year-round mountain views while keeping you close to everything. Walk downhill into town for restaurants, shops, the Appalachian Trail, French Broad River, and Hot Springs Resort & Spa — then return uphill to a quieter retreat above downtown.
Inside, you'll find a bright, thoughtfully designed home with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Both bedrooms feature medium-firm memory foam queen beds dressed in seasonal Eddie Bauer linens — flannel in winter and percale in summer — with Eddie Bauer and Woolrich quilts for a genuinely restful night's sleep.
The fully equipped kitchen includes full-size appliances, cookware, and the essentials for preparing meals at home. A washer and dryer make longer stays and adventure-filled days on the river or trails easier. Fast fiber Wi-Fi (250 Mbps+) is ready for streaming, remote work, or video calls.
Step outside to one of our favorite parts of The Bailey: the covered porches. The back porch has a dining table with seating for four and warm wood tones perfect for evening conversations. The front porch offers additional seating, two tabletop fire pits, and peaceful mountain views. A hammock and two Kelty glamping benches give you even more places to read, relax, have your morning coffee, or simply enjoy the mountain air.
Dogs stay free at The Bailey. We welcome up to two dogs (more by request) and provide complimentary dog towels, bowls, treats, and a comfy pet bed. We don't just allow dogs — we've tried to create a place where they feel welcome, too.
Your hosts, Clinton and Theresa, stay at The Bailey ourselves, and we've built it the way we'd want to find it. You'll notice thoughtful touches throughout the house inspired by our own pups, Iris, Hazel, and our recently rescued Nico.
Whether you're planning a romantic anniversary getaway, a hiking weekend with your dogs, or simply need somewhere that actually feels special, The Bailey delivers.
