awesome place with amazing staff. stayed for 3 nights. the seaview room was much better than expected with some personal touches (such as artwork and pieces that are not usually seen at other hotels. also a insect repellent spray, etc). the food at haydn's steakhouse and the boardwalk were very good that i didn't find any reason to leave the resort for my meals. what stood out the most were the staff. very friendly, and very hospitable. a shout out goes to letitia at the reception for her willingness to communicate with me using whatsapp.

"No" is the answer to pretty much every question. The pool wasnt working when we flew in on 18th and when we questeioned them when our reservation started they said it wasnt going to be open from 22nd... ummm we were here on 18th and it was closed. Other hotel guests told us it has been closed even before then.

Great hospitality, efficient, helpful and friendly staff. Good food at the two onsite restaurants, one is mostly Thai and the other is a grill/steakhouse with some seafood and salad. Quick walk to the main town of Honiara and small local shops for your shopping needs.

Outstanding room with unobstructed sea vista. Facilities were clean and well appointed. Staff were attentive and responsive, always with politeness. Only drawback was a very loud function on Saturday night that did not abate before 2300.

Lovely hotel with a good pool. The main restaurant food was really good. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. Some road works being completed outside but it is to improve the area providing pavements rather than a dirt track so it will be better once completed.

Like the Solomon Islanders as a race, the staff here are friendly. Food is of a good quality but (like the Solomons in general), pricey by Australian standards. Room ('Ocean View Villa') was functional, but, looking out at the Boardwalk Bar and with the bar's WC attached to the villa, by no means secluded. Jacuzzi had some scum on the surface that led me to believe it hadn't been maintained in a while. Overall, comfortable enough, but not luxe enough to command anywhere near the AUD600 per night price tag.

Honiara is a dirty unappealing town. However, stepping into Coral Sea Resort is a big step up. Undoubtably, it is one of the best in town However, do not compare it with "resorts" in truly tourist conscious places. The room had AC, hot water, tv, balcony. The room was thoroughly cleaned daily. However, the bed sheets, towels - although clean, had seen better days !
