Lovely hotel with a good pool. The main restaurant food was really good. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. Some road works being completed outside but it is to improve the area providing pavements rather than a dirt track so it will be better once completed.

Like the Solomon Islanders as a race, the staff here are friendly. Food is of a good quality but (like the Solomons in general), pricey by Australian standards. Room ('Ocean View Villa') was functional, but, looking out at the Boardwalk Bar and with the bar's WC attached to the villa, by no means secluded. Jacuzzi had some scum on the surface that led me to believe it hadn't been maintained in a while. Overall, comfortable enough, but not luxe enough to command anywhere near the AUD600 per night price tag.

Honiara is a dirty unappealing town. However, stepping into Coral Sea Resort is a big step up. Undoubtably, it is one of the best in town However, do not compare it with "resorts" in truly tourist conscious places. The room had AC, hot water, tv, balcony. The room was thoroughly cleaned daily. However, the bed sheets, towels - although clean, had seen better days !

I think this is one of the best -- if not the best -- hotels to stay at when in Honiara. I am a business traveler, and I appreciate the dining options at the hotel if I don't want to go out to a restaurant after a long work day. The staff is pleasant and helpful.

Nice quiet oasis in the heart of Honiara. Safe gated property with nice restaurant, ocean breeze, pretty pool. Just wish you had rooms with 2 double beds! Needed a rollaway at an additional charge for 2 friends sharing a room.
