Thanksgiving getaway

Our family had a great time at the My Grand Floridian house! Great location near the entrance to the island. Close to the beach, grocery shopping, and coffee. The house was clean, well-equipped, and well-laid out for multiple generations to gather and give thanks. Would definitely rent again.

Property was generally great and very centrally located. Very clean and well adorned. Only issue was significant water damage in a bathroom which made entire downstairs game room inaccessible for the duration of our stay due to foul odor and mold. We had concerns for kids but remediation was started almost imediately upon our arrival. Same odor and dampness issue ramained in foyer of property as bathroom was directly adjacent to it. The kids were looking forward to the game room but otherwise a nice property.

Nice home and location

We stayed in the home over spring break. The home was beautiful and very spacious. I loved the fact that everyone had a nice bed, instead of a futon or pull-out couch. I also liked that there were plenty of bathrooms! The location is perfect-close to the beach and other activities but away from the main traffic. The canal is wonderful. We enjoyed watching the manatees every day. My only few complaints would be that housekeeping didn’t do a great job on the floors or underneath the beds. After walking around the house our feet were black! Also found candy wrappers under one of the beds. Home owners also left snarky note taped to the inside of one of the cabinets that I found somewhat rude and unnecessary. The pool was perfect until the last 2 days we were. There seemed to be an issue with the heater and it was very cold. Other than that the home was very nice and we enjoyed our stay.

Grand Floridian house

Pool was green and dirty .we were able to swim the last 3 days of our week there. Manager was quick to respond but it takes time to get pool usable. Too bad it was not maintained. Liquid soap is furnished in bathrooms and kitchen but is watered down so much it won't clean. Otherwise it was a nice place.

Fantastic

Fantastic property and management group. We loved the pool, quick access to the beach, and the manatees in the canal. Management was great to work with (smoke detector battery was going dead and a broken vacuum). House was clean and very accommodating for our family. We would love to return in the future!

Gorgeous property and quick beach access

We booked this house just after Hurricane Ian so we got an amazing deal. We all loved the house. Had some issues with the air conditioning but was resolved quickly when we called the property management company. There were on top of it. We were there for Hurricane Nicole and the house was solid and you could barely hear the wind. We all loved it and had a great time.

Everything and More!

The Grand Floridian is everything you want and more in a vacation rental. The beds are amazing, the home is immaculate, and the location is perfect! After being at the beach all day, our family enjoyed laying out at the pool under the palm trees and watching the manatees in the evening. We have rented numerous times on VRBO and this is our favorite house by far! We WILL be back!

Great Place to stay

I don't really leave reviews or find time for it, but I can't leave one this time. The property is one of the most beautiful that me and my family stayed in the last 10 years. Wonderful Family week Here

Family of eight, three generations, enjoyed a week at this beautiful house on a lovely canal with manatees, fish, osprey, egrets, and blue herons. Swimming pool in landscaped setting and three blocks from beach all wonderful! Owner very responsive

Beautiful home, great location

We loved this house and would stay there again! Our only problem was with the pool. The listing stated that it was a heated pool but it was only heated for small portions of the day and not when we were ready to get in. We had to keep reaching out to the owner asking her to turn the heat on. We even offered to pay extra to just keep it on. Vera was a gracious host and very responsive!

Great pool and great for Manatee watching and paddleboarding

This was a great house for 2 families with adult children , my only complaint is the fact that 2 different bedrooms have jack and jill bathrooms, and small sinks, for 4 adults to share, became a chore, and of course they have to remember to unlock the door from their side as well.... ugh... otherwise, we were happy, great common areas. Great shade. We did cook a few nights, not a ton of kitchen counter space. small island, and if you love memory foam mattresses, this is your house.

Wonderful!

The house and location were perfect for our family. The pool area on the canal was where we spent most of our time. The canal is full of manatees so we loved watching them. The beach was a quick 5 min walk. Highly recommend!

Bad smell from canal

We felt very bad at arrival because of the bad smell from canal front of the house and to be worse, there were trash below the couch in the master bedroom. We could not open the windows and play in the pool because of bad smell during out stay. All towels were old and almost gray colored and displayed glasses were full of dirt. The owner should change the cleaning person ASAP.

We had such an amazing time at this beautiful home. It was a nice short walk to the beach. We all enjoyed the beautiful pool and pool area. We had manatees in the canal every day which were fun to watch. We had a wonderful vacation.

Great comfortable home!

We rented this for our annual trip, and loved it. Great feeling of home. 6 or 7 manatees in the channel the whole week lots of catfish caught off the dock, and lost something really big (never saw it, but got to fight it for a few minutes). Also saw a sturgeon swimming by the dock. Vera was great for communicating with as well!

Just what we were looking for!!

The months of working and schooling from home was starting to take it's toll on our family and we all needed a change of scenery. This property was just what we needed. The WIFI was excellent and allowed for my wife and I to continue our remote work and allowed the kids to continue with their distance learning. Everything about this place was fantastic! The property owner was extremely helpful and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The location was excellent and the pool was perfect. The neighborhood was quiet, we were steps away from the beach, the free shuttle stop was right at the corner and we could walk to the grocery store. The manatees even showed up for a few afternoons and were within a few feet of the dock. We simply loved our time here and are already talking about when we can get back. Thank you so much!

Unforgettable

We were in the area to create lasting memories and staying in this home accomplished that. Our arrival was during a tropical storm and the owners did all they could to make us feel safe. The electricity went out and tge owners immediately had help on its way the next day. They did everything in their power to help us have a great time during a crazy year! Beautiful home, great pool!
