This was a perfect spot for a great beach experience. Steps away from the beach but not directly on the beach. It was very windy on the beach and sand blew a lot. Walking distance to all the activities on Topsail Island, parking was at your door step. If my younger grands were there they would have enjoyed the play ground in the back yard. My pups enjoyed the space as well as we did! I communicated with someone via text but I'm not sure if it was my host but it was great communication and follow up. This was my first experience with renting personal property and it went very well, nicely kept and decorated and supplied with everything we needed for comfort. I would definitely rent this place again. They also have other properties and I would not hesitate to do business with this same renter. Thanks for a great first time experience.

The place was clean except the love seat was filthy. The grill was to be share among the other renters. One of the "Bedrooms" was like a den, small w/out a closet, the door did not close. The lock in the bathroom door did not work, my husband fixed it. There was no dish soap as a courtesy from the Rental place, no cleaner provided to clean the toilet nor the sink. I took some pictures inside of the unit showing cracks on the waĺl in the kitchen, peeling ceiling. Trash bag limited to the one in the trash can. There was No Exaust Fan in the Bathroom. Do you expect pleople bring their own basic things that come from far away? I have some videos that can't send.

An absolutely amazing stay. We loved the cookies left out for our puppy! Amazing hosts. Only recommendation would make is to please add a shelf in the shower. Even if its a small corner one for travel shampoos. Thank you for letting us stay!

Second time staying at this property. Kitchen is well stocked. Rooms are a nice size. Great fenced back yard. We stayed in one of the upstairs units-the floor in the bathroom had started to give some, but that's expected with laminate (?) flooring in a humid environment.

My partner, son, and sister all stayed at Turtle Shell Hideaway for one week and we really enjoyed it. The location was exactly what we were hoping for since we were able to walk not only to the beach access but to get groceries, ice cream, and coffee.

Best Location Ever!

I would highly recommend staying at this lovely property. It is perfect for those with kids and/or dogs--the back yard is just brilliant! Communication between ourselves and the hosts was great as well. We had a few issues while we were there but they were all resolved quickly through the VRBO app. We would stay there again in a heart beat!

Great place!

Location is perfect and nice for a family get away! Everything is within walking distance and the pier to the beach is right across the street. My dogs loved the fenced in backyard and it was peaceful. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a small family place. Will stay again for sure!!!
