This house is cute with lots of area outside to explore. It's kept fairly clean, but we noticed lots of hair in the shower room and dirt under the rugs. The hosts had great communication which we appreciated. Some challenges we encountered was the lack of an actual stove/oven, no washer/dryer, and the shower being a completely separate room (which had no lock) from the rest of the bathroom. We had one towel each for the 5 days we stayed, which isn't something we are used to. I couldn't recommend this property to families with small children, as there are lots of ceramic pieces throughout which could be broken, and paper mache art for sale that could entice small hands. There is also no bathtub, so that would pose a challenge for bathtime with kids. We were a little disappointed that this property was not as secluded as we hoped. The road is a short distance from the house and clearly visible (and audible). The sunrises here are gorgeous, though. Unfortunately, the sacred circle was overgrown, and the pond was filled with algae. Our son thoroughly enjoyed looking for frogs in there! We appreciate the opportunity to stay, but our next visit will probably be either on the coast or closer to Acadia. Something that we didn't expect, being from the midwest, was the lack of "towns" here. We are used to every town having a center with businesses, shops, and restaurants. That is nonexistent here. Unless you're on the coast...which made the lack of laundry facilities a major issue.
