HILTON HEAD ISLAND. Wendover Dunes is a beautiful oceanside villa complex that is just a short walk to the beach. Located next to the Barrington Enclave in Palmetto Dunes, these villas are beautifully decorated and equipped with all of the amenities you will need for a first-class getaway. Each villa features an open floor plan with a full kitchen, large living and dining area, and master suite with spa tub. The Wendover Dunes community also offers covered parking, a private pool area with Jacuzzi, children's’ pool, grill area, and bike paths that lead directly to the beach.

This first floor villa has 10 stairs leading to its entrance. Offering GE profile performance appliances, the kitchen features Corian counters and an eat-in bar for 2. Off the kitchen is a superbly furnished dining area for 6—this area overlooks the living area with a flat screen TV, VCR, DVD, stereo, and plush seating for everyone.

In the luxurious master suite you will find a king bed, TV, VCR, multiregional DVD, and door to a private balcony facing the front of the Wendover complex. This bedroom has a large private bath with a jetted tub and separate shower. The guest bedroom has 2 double beds, TV, multiregional DVD, and a private bath with a jetted tub and separate shower.

An expansive screened porch is one of this villa’s finest features--this very private porch has a large table that seats 6 and three lounge chairs. This tranquil area offers room for outdoor dining and is accessible from the living room and guest bedroom.

Beautifully furnished and wonderfully equipped, this villa is an excellent spot for your next retreat.

Property was spacious and a good location; however it was disappointing it terms of a lack of maintenance. Toilet in powder room needs reset loose and shifted when used. Sink in master suite was clogged and could not be used. Kitchen sink faucet needs replaced it would not rotate stayed in one spot. I have been vacationing at Hilton Head for over 30 years and never had such a neglected unit. I was disappointed the property management group (Island Getaway Rentals) would allow this unit to be neglected. Basically simple things that were not repaired.

Overall ok

We were so glad to stay at a pet friendly property and this unit was odor free. However, it needs a refresh. I personally cleaned/scrubbed the stove top to get rid of brown burn marks. The place is dark and a bit depressing but the rooms were large and high ceilings.

Property was in need of some minor maintenance issues. One of the ceiling fans on the porch did not work, the refrigerator water filter needed to be changed and the toilet in the half bath was loose and rocked when used. The AC broke our first night there but was repaired quickly that night by Wesley who was great.
