Perfect house for our family of 6. Amazing views and a great local location. Local surfing beach just a walk away. Mari is an amazing communicator and was dedicated to make our stay perfect. Amenities were a nice added touch! Sunrises were amazing and it was fun to watch the ships pass by. Local restaurants were really good. Beds were very comfortable. The house is an architectural dream!

Fantastic Vacation Rental

We had a great stay in Hilo. Mari was super helpful and called us to walk through the home’s specifics. Two families on the trip and the property accommodated us well with two levels, and beautiful ocean views from the deck and pool. We saw a dozen dolphins. The kitchen had many spices and condiments and all the cooking supplies.

The sound of surf

We stayed at this lovely place for 5 days in Oct. Pros: - very clean; not fancy, but nice - nice appliances; well stocked kitchen - nicely landscaped yard with stunning ocean views and the lights of Hilo across the water at night - great communication from hosts - large windows/ sliding doors facing the ocean so great views even while eating or relaxing inside - comfy lounge chairs in the shade and by the pool - free use of the pool whenever we wanted (but we needed to skim it first because of many little bugs floating in the water) -wonderful ocean views, and that lovely sound of the surf crashing - walking distance to a surfing beach, not swimmable for us but neat to watch the surfers - quiet residential neighborhood but convenient to Hilo for groceries/ restaurants - quite a bit to see and do in the area and not as rainy as I was expecting Cons: - the frogs are very loud at night. My husband had no problem falling asleep and staying asleep. I had to sleep with a pillow covering my ears. Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper - this is a lower floor unit so sometimes at night/ early morning I could hear people walking overhead or chairs being moved around. Ear plugs would have fixed that. -no laundry so fine for 5 days but not great for a longer visit

Wow!

This place was just right for us. Near Hilo, just down the street from a lovely beach, waves crashed, frogs sang, unit was so comfortable, clean and had everything we needed including sharp knives! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. We loved the spectacular sunrises.

Spactacular Location

Great location on the ocean. Inside is Spartain and dated. Overhead stomping and other noise was annoying. The descending walkway was daunting for old guys.

An amazing view

First words out of my brides mouth when she got to the top of the stairs was, "Babe, you done good. Oh my God this is amazing." It was the perfect place to spent our week on the BI. We love this side of the island and the ability to be so far north and still be withing Hilo I'm 20 minutes was fantastic. We loved the views and the home. My now wofe wants to go back without the kids to enjoy this property all over just the two of us again. Hopefully not during the rainy season as much and for a longer stay if they do a longer term stay rate. It was breathtaking and I wouldn't have traded it for the world. It would be a home like it or this one I'd like to own one day that is for certain.

Singing waves and coqui frog paradise

This lodging worked perfectly for my husband and I and our 21 year old son. The pull-out sofa is extremely comfortable. The kitchen was very well appointed with plenty of spices and starter sets of coffee and treats. The pool is lovely and refreshing and has three levels. The views of the cruise ships sailing into the port of Hilo each day was enjoyable. And Honoli’i beach is just a short walk up the street. The lodging provides guests with beach chairs, beach umbrella and kid boogie boards which is a very nice touch. There is also a booklet with suggested restaurants and sightseeing options throughout the areas of the island which was very helpful. We took the suggestions for Pineapple’s, Kenichi’s, and the Hilo Burger Bar and were glad we did. The hosts were very nice and helpful. We had a lovely time being their guests.

Flat on the Ocean

Great flat on the ocean with tranquil views, open windows all around that alloed you to hear all the tropical sounds of Hawaii. Beautiful grounds and pool with a comfy setting minutes from town and close to many points of interest. Enjoyed our stay!
