Very cute, quaint, family run hotel. I was in town for a large wine convention in Düsseldorf-- it was a five minute walk to the train, so I could be in the city in 20-30 minutes. The staff was very genuine-- they had a modest breakfast for me each morning with tasty breads, cold cuts, cereal, juice, and nice strong coffee. The room was just what I needed as a sole traveler. The staff was able to advise me on train departure times and offered sound travelling advice. Surprisingly, the last evening I had dinner there and the food was surprisingly very good-- reminded me of a home cooked meal like I experienced years ago from my German great grandmother in the US. Highly recommended for travelers looking to avoid the high city prices and willing to commute.

Inhabergeführt und das merkt man auch. Sehr netter Kontakt, rundum gutes Hotel. Kein Luxus-Design-Schnickschnack, dafür ein tolles Preis-Leistungsverhältnis - gerade beim Frühstück.

Das Preis - Leistungs Verhältnis ist auf jeden Fall OK !! Frühstück für 2,50 pro Person ist einfach nur Empfehlenswert . Wir hatten ein ruhiges Zimmer gewünscht und dieses wurde auch erfüllt . Schönes sauberes Zimmer Blick in den Garten ...TOP renoviertes Badezimmer ..die Matratzen nicht durchgelegen da wollten wir gar nicht mehr raus :-) Negativ : Heizung ging nicht im sehr kalten Bad ...brrrrrrr .... Wir hatten uns so auf die angepriesene Deutsche Küche gefreut aber leider Speisen / Menüs etc. nur von Montag bis Donnerstag !! ??? Holztüren die unglaublich laut in den Rahmen / Schloss knallen von den Mitbewohnern , einfache aufklebbare Gummilippen ( Baumarkt) würden da wahre Wunder wirken .

Alles war ok. Ich beanstande nur, dass die Heizung ausgeschaltet war und es sehr kalt und unangenehm war. Ich drehte dann die Ventile an den Radiatoren auf und es dauerte dann bis zum nächsten Tag bis es warm war. Dass ich auf meine Beanstandung ( expedia Bewertung) bei meiner Abreise vom Besitzer eher unfreundlich angesprochen wurde ist unprofessionell.

Für eine Nacht war die Unterkunft erträglich. Aus meiner Sicht für längere Aufenthalte nicht geeignet. Haben ein Familienappartement bewohnt. Ehemalige Drei-Zimmer-Wohnung mit Bad im 60'er Jahre Stil. Besonderheit: Fernseher in den Schlafräumen, nicht im eigentlichen Aufenthaltsbereich. Dafür war das Personal äußerst zuvorkommend, das Essen gut und reichlich.

Preis/Leistung ist Ordnung. Wir haben die Ferienwohnung bekommen für eine Macht, weil das Hotel offensichtlich ausgebucht war. Kleine Renovierungsarbeiten und ein paar neue Möbel würde das ganze deutlich freundlicher Aussehen lassen. Preis Leistung beim Frühstück TOP!
