The pub, staff and food was fantastic. Room was comfortable but paper thin walls so not the quiet over night we hoped for, but still a pleasant stay away.

Great find, I’d come back again

Very welcoming staff so that was a great first impression. Very well presented accommodation. Great shower. Plenty of beverages and having a sofa too in the evening was a bonus. Enjoyed some good food in the pub along with a very drinkable bottle of red. Great atmosphere. Bed was very comfortable. It is only self serve continental breakfast of cereal, yoghurt and toast. But price we paid was ok for that. Bad points - road was noisy but ear plugs sorted that out. Also need an eye mask as the roof window doesn’t have blind but apart from those points, I’d stay here again.

What a lovely period place, but with all mod cons, to stay. Had a lovely meal in the pub, staff were lovely and the breakfast plentiful. What more could you want.

A great place as a base to visit Herefordshire. The food in the pub was all freshly cooked to order and there was a good selection of beers and wines. The staff were excellent particularly the bar manager (Cam), he was totally aware of customer needs throughout the pub. The Arkwright room was a good size, well equipped and clean however, the stairs to the raised bed area could be a problem for some people and the bathroom is downstairs. Overall, for us, it was exactly what we were looking for and the rates were very reasonable. The continental breakfast self served in the communal breakfast room was enough to set us up for the day. I would stay there again.
