We spent two weeks at the house in Herceg Novi with our daughter and her children (2 and 5 years old). It was fantastic. Both the location – about 20 minutes from the centre of Herceg Novi, away from the hustle and bustle and heat of the town centre – as well as because of the support from our hosts who made as feel at home right from the start of our stay in the house. They were very supportive and made sure everything was arranged, we were welcomed with food and beverages for the first day. The house is perfect, has been beautifully renovated and sits on a spacious plot with a beautiful mountain view. The garden is very spacious and includes vegetable patches. It is worth noting that the higher altitude of the location of the house ensures a pleasant climate and comfortable temperatures in August. We’d recommend hiring a car; the host can organise this very easily. The location is an ideal base for trips around the Bay of Kotor, for a visit to the beach or a lovely stroll along the Herceg Novi promenade. A trip to Trebinja in Bosnia and Herzegovina is very worthwhile and takes only a 30 - 40 minute drive. in short, both the house and the hosts (Thanks Milena and Franco!) made for a perfect time in Montenegro. Would definitely recommend.
