The house is located on a picturesque hillside in Apple Valley and was extremely easy to locate. With amazing views for miles and plenty of spacious rooms, our family enjoyed our first reunion ever with everyone present. The 5, 6, and 9 year olds loved the playroom in the loft while everyone else took advantage of the front porch, back decks and relaxing living spaces.
Our first morning there we spotted a black bear in the front yard. What a treat!
We had some rain during our stay, but the result was a stunning double rainbow over the mountains directly in front of the house.
Our family played golf, gem mined, had a epic ping pong tournament and hula hoop contest, did a Lake Lure boat tour, visited the Flowering Bridge, picnicked and hiked at Chimney Rock. Grandma, Grandpa and the little ones visited the colorful bears in Hendersonville, had lunch at Hotdog World and ice cream at Harry and Piggy’s while the rest of our group were horseback riding in Pisgah Forest.
Our youngest ones were thrilled by the Fairy Garden at Burlington Gardens which was very close by.
Sarah answered all my questions both before and during our stay and was easy to contact.
We will definitely refer friends and family to this stunning and comfortable home and hope to return again ourselves.
Thank you, Sarah.
