On a motorcycle tour of Scandinavia we stayed in around 15 different hotels - this was a real favourite. It was slightly out of season, so fairly quiet even though it looks like it could handle a lot of guests comfortably (I imagine it's sometimes used for weddings). Our room was superb - very recently refurbished (still had that slight "new carpet" smell) and was finished to a very high standard. Very spacious, with a large bathroom and even a little entrance lobby. Each room has it's own door out on to a square courtyard which makes for a really nice environment - no long gloomy corridors here! The dinner is buffet style, but it's good quality, as was the breakfast. If you have time, there's a river down some steps at the back of the main building (beyond the sauna). There are several little streams and bridges so it's a lovely place to explore. Staff were all really friendly and efficient, and we had a lovely time.

Traditional Swedish style hotel.

Comfortable, warm hotel. Service was limited as January and February quiet months. Restaurant closed at 3pm. Staff only available til 6pm. However, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Sandwiches were left in our room fridge as I mentioned to receptionist that we would be hungry upon arrival at the hotel in the early evening.

Nyrenoverat med hög charmfaktor

Trots att hotellet är stort lyckas de behålla en gammaldags charm och hög mysfaktor. Rummet stort och fräscht med väldigt skön säng och sängkläder. Nyrenoverat på smakfullt sätt. God frukost med allt man önskade sig. Middagen kunde varit bättre i smaksättningen men helt ok och servisen trevlig och uppmärksam så blev ändå en positiv upplevelse.
