Das Amadis liegt mitten in der Stadt und damit ideal, um alles fußläufig zu erledigen. Leider ist die rezeption nicht durchgehend besetzt und so war das Einchecken via Telefon bei schlechter Leitung und Eiseskälte umkomfortabel. Das Zimmer ausreichend groß, gut beheizt und mit allem Nötigen ausgestattet. Das Bad schien neu renoviert zu sein, doch der Duschkabine fehlt unten die Abdichtung, sodass danach alles unter Wasser stand. Der nur mäßig abgekratzte Schimmel an der Decke war ein echter Minuspunkt. Das Frühstück hat ausreichend Auswahl, allerdings fand es ins einem kühlen Kantinenraum ohne jeglichen Charme und ohne jegliche Gemütlichkeit statt. Alles musste selbst organisiert werden, die Tische waren nicht eingedeckt, geschweige denn dekoriert. Bei dem Preis (in einer provinziellen Kleinstadt!) ist hier deutlich Luft nach oben. Generell wäre ein wenig Mehr an Gästeorietierung schon ein großer Gewinn für die Gastfreundlichkeit.

Bei der Ankunft lief die Anmeldung gutab,dann wurde es hektisch. Die junge Frau am Empfang hatte glaub ich keine Lust zweimal zum Fahrradcontainer zu laufen. Wir mussten uns beilel die Taschen vom Rad zu nehmen um mit anderen Gästen zum Container zu laufen. Morgens beim Frühstück war der Mann nicht gut gelaunt er war nur kurz angebunden und hatte anscheinend keine Lust zu arbeiten.

Check-in war kurz und gut. Das Hotel hat einen Aufzug-sehr gut. Leider waren in den Zimmern alle Klimaanlagen "Ausser Betrieb" wegen einem Disput zwischen dem Vermieter und dem Betreiber. Das Mobiliar sollte dringend mal in Stand gesetzt werden: kein Schrank der nicht quietschte oder bei dem die Türen schief in den Angeln hingen. Das Frühstück war lieblos angerichtet und es war um 9:00 bereits weitestgehend leer. Leider standen Käse & Wurst ungeschützt in der Sonne und sahen bereits nach kurzer Zeit sehr unappetitlich aus. Auf Nachfrage wurden keine Eier gekocht. ##### Leider steht dieses eigentlich sehr schöne und exponierte Hotel seit Jahren unter einem schlechten Stern. Man profitiert von Einmalgästen (Fahrradwanderern), wird jedoch von den ortsansässigen Kunden gemieden.

Sehr netter Empfang. Trotz COVID geöffnet mit reduziertem Angebot. Es gab verständlicherweise kein Frühstück. Es sollten neue TV Receiver angeschafft werden........die alten SKY Receiver sind eine Zumutung. Ansonsten alles souverän gut.
