If you are in Harare area and you want a comfortable place that makes you feel comfortable and feel safe, i will definitely be back and i recommend this place, the owners are very nice ans welcoming and will do everything to make you feel at home,

A lovely and peaceful property, beautifully appointed and comfortable rooms with original local art work placed inside and out. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy the garden or inside the delightful living room of the main house. There is strong and uninterrupted WiFi throughout the property, plus a good choice for breakfast. The owners are very welcoming and helpful.

Home away from home

Lovely place, riana is a great host. Nice and close to town... A real home away from home. One small suggestion is that prices for goods in the room should include vat as the extra vat charge when checking out will surprise guests and bring some diasspointment at bill time.

A green oasis of calm

An attractive house filled with light embedded in a very green garden resplendent with local sculpture. It is a little way outside the centre so a car is essential, but not too far and with some (mediocre) restaurants 5minutes away. Breakfasts are fresh and sufficient-although more fruit would have been nice.. the rooms are either in the house or in annexes in the garden. They are comfortable, have chairs outside, WiFi and satellite TV. There is a pool. The owners are very widely travelled, engaging, but never intrusive.

Beautiful and secure accomatation in the most affluent part of Harere. Well presented and maintained off grid site with all the comforts of home with amazing knowledgeable staff who will help you from planning your day trips to setting up for work with the high speed internet connection that never failed once on my 10 day stay. Great breakfast choices and well stocked pantry. Very clean room especially bathroom. Genuinely friendly atmosphere a absolute must for anyone passing through

Very nice stay . Very nice kitchen staff and, grounds keepers! Temperature control and bathroom could stand a little improvement. Room was too cold . The hosts were charming and gave helpful information about the city!

An oasis of tranquility and positive vibes

My stay was supposed to be for 3 nights whilst I looked for more appropriate accommodation. Frankly, the reception I got was enough to convince me to book the next 5 nights as well. The rustic layout, with its local artwork, comfortable furnishings and friendly staff form a winning combination. Friends and relatives who came to visit wanted to know more about the place for their future guests. The honesty bar was well stocked. The buffet breakfasts were a perfect investment for the day. I'm definitely coming back!

The main problem with Jacana Lodge ...

... is that one (other than Rian and Wim) cannot stay forever and eventually has to leave the lodge to get back to normal life.

Gorgeous green haven

2 friends of mine stayed at this lodge after a long trip and they were blown away at the 5 star treatment they got. Amazing host and beautiful rooms and decor. Will definitely recommend in the future.

A great stopover

We were travelling in Zimbabwe and stopped at Jacana in Harare for the night. Rian gave us a very warm welcome and the property was perfect - comfortable, clean and quiet. I'd thoroughly recommend Jacana to anyone staying in Harare.

Relaxing and welcoming stay in the suburbs.

Great set-up (architecturally designed by a local Zimbabwean architect). Very warm and welcoming hosts. Gave good advice and helped organise a driver.

Lovely, safe oasis in Harare

We enjoyed a pleasant overnight stay here, Rian and Willem were excellent hosts and helped us out with several difficulties we were experiencing, car repairs, problems with documents etc. Rooms all overlook a lovely garden, breakfast was very good, there is a good shopping complex close by with many good restaurants. Would certainly stay here again if returning to Harare, but would stay a few days.

Like I'm at home

Very nice stay here. I felt like I was at home in every way. The service is top notch. The only downside is it's a bit out of town, but that all depends on what parts of Harare you aim to visit.
