I didn’t have a mountain view from my room but that would have made my stay even better. If you don’t want to carry bags upstairs request a ground floor room. This is a beautiful property and I would stay here again. There is parking on premises and couldn’t fault room facilities.

Lovely staff (lady on reception especially but didn't catch her name!) made us feel really welcome and at ease. Gave us good restaurant recommendations. Towels for the thermal pools were very much appreciated. Great room with mountain views, very relaxing.

Whilst the rooms are well presented and clean, unfortunately our room was situated directly opposite a building site where we woke both mornings early due to the building work taking place, I would have appreciated if the hotel told us prior to our stay as we would have booked elsewhere.

We always enjoy our stay at St James. It is perfectly locted to shops and the pools. The rooms are comfortable, and equipped with all the necessaries. Good service with friendly staff. We have stayed at many places in Hanmer Springs and this is by far our favorite. Highly recommend.
