Good location, big shopping mall beside, subway train right beside , clean and comfortable, elevator only goes to 3rd fl, done stay on 4th fl. If u cannot walk stairs.

This hotel was very conveniently located for us, across the street was the subway, busses and a taxi stand. They served a daily breakfast. The staff was very friendly and greeted us by name. The only thing i would suggest is they improve the quality of their towels.

Select Hotel Tiefenthal - family stay

Location of the hotel is very convenient to U-bahn, bus stops, stores and cafes/restaurants. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful - smooth check-in and check-out. Rooms were clean and comfy. The physical condition of the room and especially bathroom was satisfactory, needing some renovation.

Clean, yet small room. Breakfast at $13/Person way too expensive. Location is excellent bc public transport, main stores on Wandsbeker Marktstrasse and in the mall ‘Quaree’ are very close by. Open front desk 24/7 is excellent. Parking: Although I had paid for parking it was not available one night. I had to park in the not safe seemingly neighborhood. When confronted with my unhappyness about this issue the staff member didn’t really listen to my concern and started talking back, although the two candidates who parked their cars on 4 spots were known to the staff. “I can not do anything. What should I do.”In the end they refunded the $ but my intention was not to park for free in the street but to have the paid spot available.

Family stay for one day Hamburg visit

Nice stay, convinient 7€ parking nearby. Corona adapted breakfast which was still good. Rooms where pretty quite, but there seem to be no ventilation in the rooms. Stayed with family of four, two queen beds to share which was okay. The location is 8 metro stops away from city center which is really convenient.

Great for a city stay.

Direct S-Bahn connection to the airport (5min walk) and U-Bahn (1min walk) to the city center and train station. The hotel is connected to a mall. The neighborhood looks a bit rough at first sight, but the hotel is spotless clean, absolutely safe and fairly new inside. Different size rooms, make sure you don't end up in a real one bedded single room. All other rooms are very ok. Perfect place for a city stay if the location, a bit outside of the center, suits you. Hotel has a parking lot, € 7 per night.

Perfect Hamburg location

Clean professional hotel. Single room small but adequate. Bathroom tiny but just about usable. Woman on reception not so welcoming but efficient. Didn’t have 12 euro breakfast but dining room looked nice. Mac Donald’s is literally below the hotel. Plenty of good shops and restaurants outside hotel and felt very safe area. U Bahn literally 12 paces from hotel door. Direct link to Hamburg central station and one stop only to S Bahn and direct link to Hamburg Airport.

Nice hotel for a good price

This hotel was perfect for what we needed - couple of beds and nicely located next to the U Bahn for easy travels. The breakfast service has a great variety of different foods - fruit, yogurt, eggs, sausage, bread and they even have a juicer for oranges! Just know that it is NOT part of your room fee, we didn't know that..

Great-if you don't have too much luggage

In the middle of Hamburg Wandsbek it's probably the best you can get...it is comfortable, has its own parking lot and the limited staff (which we know by now is customary in Germany) is as helpful as you can get. The room we had was small but clean and comfortable and and even though we were on a 6-weeks trip through Germany and had a lot of luggage (five large suitcase and other odds and ends) it was a bit tight but not claustrophobic. And being next to to execellent public transportation (the entrance to the subway is in front of the hotel entrance and a major bus hub across the street), shopping and a good offering of restaurants made everything more pleasurable. We will be back in Germany in May and since Hamburg is always on our list we will be staying at the Tiefenthal again
