Helpful staff

Amazing service from very helpful staff by late checkin and when I needed to leave my luggage there after checkout. Even though I had a room facing the street, the room was quiet when the window was closed.

Brilliant, clean and really friendly staff. For a basic hotel pillows were lovely and plump and shower was great l. Little sweets left on the bed was a nice touch.

Very nice look and feel in a great location. No air con though which was very tough when we travelled in the height of summer, I know it is Europe but it was really uncomfortable in the heat. Otherwise the staff were great and very helpful with our numerous questions about the city.

Fun, but dodgy area .

Must get help at nearby hotel if your key stops working, which it did, as the front desk is often unstaffed. Otherwise, fine. The area reminded me of Times Square in NYC from the 70's - lots of sleeze. But overall, a good place.

The hotel is well presented and the room is very clean. Its warm and quiet at night. We accidentally left our "clean me" sign on the door and housekeeping did a great job. The only downside was there were no glasses or cups to drink from and the pillows arent quite firm enough for my liking. But on the whole the room and hotel are both lovely and very very very good value for money. The shower was perfect too! I would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Disappointing stay

Very disappointed with the location being in the red light area and the lack of staff on the reception desk especially as our check in paperwork was available in the pigeon hole for anyone to take. The main door is not locked over night and with no staff there after 22:00, it makes the place feel vulnerable to anyone just walking in. The cleaners arrived at 06:00 and let’s just say they do not keep the noise levels down. The bathroom is very small too.

Very poor service and cleanliness.

The sheets had what looked like human excrament stains and dried blood stains told the person at reception 5 hours later still the sheets hadn’t been changed so we ended up changing the sheets ourselves. Then another day no cleaners had came to clean then room and there wasn’t anyone at reception for 6-7 hours a notice was in place saying that the receptionist had to leave due to illness I have stayed at this hotel before and was satisfied with the service but the service this time is awful and wasn’t very happy at all really wasn’t worth the money.
