The Hotel suffers from the noise from outside of the Night Club next door until 3 am and hotel guests slamming doors and talking loudly. A shame because the staff are accommodating, friendly and the hotel is clean and comfortable.

For the money, and the proximity to where I needed to be for business, this place was great. Clean and well maintained, good hot showers, and the breakfast looked fantastic though I didn't have time to partake any morning I was there. The one bad thing about the location is that it is loud. Nearby Davidstraße is the part of town with lots of bars, liquor stores, dancing clubs, erotica and such. The aftermath of those businesses sometimes wanders down Erichstraße pass this hotel, so you'll hear some yelling and breaking glass bottles. There is also a bar next to the hotel, and I presume from all the shouting and cheering that it's popular with sports fans. One night, it went on until 4 a.m. On the plus side, the room's windows are excellent and, when closed, block out most of the noise - as well as the cool air. One other comment is a security issue. The hotel makes a point to ask that you leave your room key at the desk whenever you leave. I don't usually like to signal so easily when my room is empty, but they were insistent - and at least there is a safe in the room, and I usually took my computer with me for work. The thing is that when you come back and ask for your key, only once over an entire week did one of the desk clerks even ask my name before handing me the key. Usually I just asked for room X and they handed over the key, no questions. I mentioned this several times but the practice did not change. So be aware.

Location is a little too close to the action

The hotel itself seems clean enough, but also as if it hasn't been renovated since the 70's. Combining that with the location where prostitutes on the street grab you on your way home at night, I can't recommend this place.

good hotel, not so neighbourhood

the hotel is great, the staff is awesome. nice lil garage hidden away. i had a great room on 3rd (4th for americans) floor and on corner with the loudest street. even with windows closed you could hear what song they were playing as if you were right in the middle of the street. the reception offered ear plugs...yea after a walk around i realised i wasnt in the best areas in town, but tons of diversity for sure. the music went down around 2...but still loud enough to hear with window open and was still playing in morning. they should make the window a bit thicker or sound proof....other than that all good...clean spacious and comfy.

A jewel in an ash heap.

This is a wonderful hotel in so many ways. Staff are polite, friendly.. Facilities are excellent .. Even the breakfast choices are superb. BUT - and it's a big but. Be prepared to be harassed by the harpies who line the next door streets. They will attempt to waylay you and when rejected, continue their chorus. A shame and a pity! This is an excellent hotel otherwise.

Positiv: Das Frühstück war großartig und qualitätiv sehr gut. Die zentrale Lage in Mitten des Kiez war perfekt für Partygänger. Die Matratzen waren super und der Schlaf deshalb erholsam. Negativ: Duschen war nicht möglich, weil die Armatur komplett verkalkt war und man deshalb nicht auf die Duschbrause umschalten konnte.
