I liked pretty much everything about the place. It had a balcony and had ready access to most parts of Hakodate. The main improvement I would suggest is some form of anti-slip mat in the shower room.

The room was spacious, comfortable , and had a beautiful view of the ocean. The room had a convenient kitchen and access to all the amenities we needed. The onsen was relaxing and had various baths to choose from. I would definitely stay here again if I have the opportunity and I highly recommend it to other travelers.

Apartment like hotel room in Hakodate

This was by far the largest room we had in Japan, it was more like an apartment! We really liked the small tatami room with the sliding screens. It is close enough to the train station to walk, and near bars and restaurants. The hotel itself was very high class. The only reason I took off a star was terrible WiFi, it's free but so weak it's basically non-existent. We thought it was because we were on the 14th floor but also had issues in the lobby. We raised the matter to the staff, but the response (possibly a translation issue) was that it was free and they cannot confirm it will work. Every place we've stayed has free WiFi, and we've never had this issue. We ended up using a hotspot from our Japanese cell provider. This may be an issue for any foreign travelers trying to work from the room. Other than our WiFi issue, it was a great stay. This is an elegant hotel, good area and very nice staff.

When we checked it it was very crowded, the staff was very patient and accomodating which was truly appreciated. Although it was a one night stay passing through to the Airport they helped us with transportation arrangements to the airport for our early morning departure!

This is a really nice and clean hotel. Our initial room smelled like cigarettes and the staff checked it out. They then upgraded us to another room with ocean view as an apology. Very kind staff. They do speak English. The bathhouse (onsen) is great. Many options and clean. It is right next to the ocean too!
