Host had hot tub and was promised in would be warm. Paid for heat. We had 2 good days of weather with temps in the mid 60’s before it got very cold. Temperature in hot tub never more than 80 degrees. Then the house had a nest temperature controller and we could not get any heat when the cold weather hit. We could see our breath in house the next morning. Ended up leaving a day early . Awful experience .

Southern Doons Getaway

House was as pictured but could use a fresh coat of paint inside. Plenty of room, ample shampoo/conditioner/body wash in each bathroom. Lots of blankets for chilly mornings. Dirty

There were so many issues with this rental but the biggest one was how dirty it was. Everywhere we looked it was grimy, dishes had dried food on them, appliances had food drips on them, the floors were so dirty it made our feet black, the pool deck looked like it had never been washed,the walls/doors/baseboards were thick with dirt and dust. The beds were hard as rock. It was not set up with essentials, for example, no glass on the pool deck(obviously) but only provided glass drinkware. No dishtowels or dish clothes provided to wash dishes, only 2 dishwasher tabs for a 5 day stay. The coffee maker spit coffee all over the place. Not enough towels for a place that has accommodations for 8 guests. When we checked in, I had issues with the keypad (I think it was a me issue), so my son went around back to see about another way to get in, everything was unlocked and he just walked in through the patio doors. On our last day, the air conditioner stopped working, forcing us to open windows to try and cool it down, only to find the sills black with dirt and holes in the screens. Although things can stop working, at the best of places, it was the last straw of the worst rental we have ever had, I would say you get what you pay for but this was not inexpensive, so incredibly disappointing. In summary, I would emphatically suggest do not rent this place.

It was ok

The house overall is ok; good things: Very clean, good location, excellent communication with the owner, the HVAC works very good. Bad things: Too many cameras around the house we did feel that we didn't have privacy, the refrigerator was frozen when we arrived, we sent a message to the owner and they said someone will be fixing but no one showed during our state, no paper towel and extra trash bag, too many rules, we agree with rules but that house has extras rules, no access to open the garage door.

Excellent Stay

House looked exactly like pictures, so no surprises. Home is beautifully decorated! Location is perfect. We have stayed in this sub division before and really like how close it is to shops/restaurants. Heated pool was great (highly recommended during cooler months). Communication with home owners was excellent during our stay. You cannot go wrong staying here!
