'Casa Carite by the Lake' is a nature minimalist retreat with multiple vacation rental cabins at the lake, 60 minutes away SJU. We have several cabins perfect for couples or groups looking to relax and enjoy nature, fishing, kayaking, and outdoor living. The house and cabins can be booked individually or together as part of a package for events or friends and family gatherings.

Escape the city and connect with nature. This lake house for couples, groups and families offer a unique lodging experience. Hang out and unwind in this rustic style country house. All built of wood with doors and windows that open in an old-fashioned way. Relax in the hammock on the balcony, take out the kayaks or paddle boards to explore the lake, or soak up the sun on the dock. Enjoy night-time soundscapes featuring Coqui frogs. We're open to serve and provide everything you might need during your stay.

The interior is an open house with a full kitchen with a gas stove, microwave, air fryer, sink, refrigerator, four rooms, 4.5 bathrooms, balcony, and hammock. The location has warm water, we provide towels, soap, shampoo, and toilet paper.

Casa Carite by the Lake encourage our guests to check-in before sunset. We may allow you to check-in earlier if the previous occupants have checked out. Maybe we'll need some time to complete the cleaning process but you're welcome to drop-off your luggage and enjoy our facilities. Let us know your check-in schedule in advance to help.

Depending on your cellular provider you will most likely have no service or one (1) bar and no data connection. Plan accordingly as you may not be able to reach us via phone call during your check in.

We're 'pet friendly' and as we are in the countryside there are dogs, cats, lizards, frogs and our beautiful coqui in the surroundings. If you don't like dogs, let us know in advance.

Don't forget your coat and be sure to bring food you would normally bring when camping (food, water, and drinks). El Merendero Bar and Grill is 7 minutes away, a great option to eat and have fun, but the nearest store is about 30 minutes away. We are open to provide everything you need depending on your need and budget. Let us know to help!

Pay attention and use caution when walking, swimming, and playing around at the property. The nearest hospital is 45 minutes away.

The use of kayaks, paddle boards and lifejackets are included at your own risk. The participation is entirely voluntary, requires signing a release and follow applicable rules and excellent standards of conduct.

The owner and founder of 'Casa Carite by the Lake', Pedro "Pepo" Valentin stays on the property and is available if needed.

- Head south on Expreso Luis A. Ferré or PR-52.
- Take exit 32 toward Cidra-Cayey-Guavate - 450 m
- Turn left onto PR-184 - 9.0 km
- Turn right onto PR-179 - 10.5 km
- Turn right onto PR-7741 - 600 m
- Slight right onto PR-742 - 1.0 km
- Turn right onto unnamed road located at kilometer (km) 1.6
- Continue straight on the unnamed road until you come to a brown gate. The brown gate is always unlocked but sometimes it is closed, if it is closed you will need to open it.

Continue through the gate until you reach the end of the road and turn right to go down the hill.

Continue down the hill, the first gate on the right hand side.
