A great location looking out at kirkjufell. The room was clean, and the shared kitchen was great for sitting and relaxing with the view. There were plenty of places to walk to in town as well. We had a great time, would stay here again.

Great location just between glacier lagoon and Stokksnes. Staff was very helpful, making my stay feeling very homey, really great people around. I was in a large room with wonderful view of mountains and glacier.

This was a great place to stay during our visit to Iceland.We enjoyed the communal kitchen area since we were able to interact with the other guests but had a private bedroom and bath. The kitchen was very well equipped and the whole place was very neat and clean. Great view from our room too.

Stayed late May during unusually great sunny weather and this location allowed us the easy opportunity to take full advantage of the extra daylight knowing we didn't have to drive a lost distance a day of exploring. The apartment had everything we needed, had comfortable beds and a great view. Wouldn't hesitate using this location again.

We had a lovely stay at Stöð Guesthouse & Apartments in Grundarfjörður. The place was very clean, quiet, and felt cozy and well looked after. The best part was our room’s view of Kirkjufell—waking up to that scenery was unreal. Having access to a well-equipped kitchen was also super convenient after long days exploring Snæfellsnes.

All was good. A few suggestions: need towel racks or hooks in bathrooms, provide creamer for free coffee and tea. If you sit in the chair in the room, you can feel the post under your seat—not very comfortable! Also let guests know WiFi is free in the downstairs entry when they are instructed to call reception.

I absolutely loved staying here. I wandered around the town and couldn’t find somewhere better to be, so I was very happy with my choice. Izabela was super helpful and responsive. I would 1,000% stay here again. I already miss it!

The room was clean and the shower was hot. The room was very small. When other guests shut the exterior door to enter or leave the building, the entire building shook. People stood outside talking and kept us awake. But the view was nice.

No reception so needed to call for check in. He was there in 2 minutes. Great common space with coffee grounds ready for a coffee pot in the morning, Swiss Miss for the kiddos. Room was big, clean, great showers, and awesome for a family of 4! (We had a family room). 2 bunk beds and two twins pushed together for a king.

Calm and beautiful

The aera was very calm, and the view was beautiful. Right next to the guesthouse was an amazing restaurant. This room had the best black-out curtains for blocking out the continuous summer light. We were also reccomended a very cozy cafe as well.

Comfortable room, easy check in. Bathroom light had a delay when flipped on, but that was the only negative. Nice bed, convenient parking, and really nice restaurant right across the street. We even saw a seal in the bay in front of the hotel!
