Zen Dome: Relax & Revive in the Beauty of Nature

Escape from the hustle & bustle of everyday life. Come immerse yourself in the beauty of nature & Find Your Zen.
Nestled on 40 acres, the Dome is an offering of SólGaia at the nonprofit, Blue Heart Animal Sanctuary, a beacon of Love & Light and an oasis of Peace for All. Feel what it’s like to disconnect from the world… to unplug, recharge & reconnect with the parts of yourself you’ve forgotten. Experience the healing power of nature, wildlife & the adorable animals living at this Sanctuary.
The space
The Zen Dome is situated at the edge of the forest near a flowing mountain stream and is in close proximity to a pasture with a herd of sweet rescued goats.
* It features a full size bed and has an extra cot available for use.
* Although the Dome does not have electric, there is an extension cord available for use.
* A portable heater and electric kettle to make hot water are also provided.
* A set of solar string lights illuminates the Dome but it's helpful for guests to bring a flashlight or headlamp.
* There is a fire pit with a grate for cooking and some fire safe cookwear. There is some small kindling, starter wood available but guests who want a longer lasting fire need to bring their own bundles of dry wood.
* We offer guests the use of camping chairs and there's a small table & chairs in front of the dome.
* We provide our guests with the purest mountain spring water (feel free to bring an empty water vessel to take some with you on your journey.)
* A hot/cold water outdoor shower is available in the warmer months. During the winter, there is a guest bathroom in the house available for bathing.
* The outdoor pit latrine is in close vicinity to the dome.
Other things to note
The proceeds from this listing goes to support the nonprofit, Blue Heart Animal Sanctuary and expansion of our vision to create SólGaia, a wellness and retreat center.
The cabin features a separate bedroom. The cabin also includes an electric kettle.

Very primitive and not easy access to dome

Be ready to walk a far distance to the dome as you can’t park your car by it to load or unload. If you have any mobility issues this place is not for you. Shower and dome are not easily accessible. Composting toilets are in tents and having to sprinkle lime inside with no where to wash your hands wasn’t healthy. There is no water access anywhere near by. No heater in dome and it was super noisy due to roof not being insulated. It was freezing (it was in the 30s) . Bed is comfortable and there were lots of good blankets.

Refreshing

My partner and I had such an incredible time during our stay here! We are definitely planning to come back soon. Our property manager was incredibly sweet, communicative, and genuine. If you need a nice little getaway in nature, this is the perfect place to stay! We got to wake up each morning to the goats and deer grazing in the yard and saw so many other beautiful sights!
