Clean room with cozy wood paneling and doorfront parking, plus a door code rather then key/card. It's a couple blocks from the lake though. Our room was a chilly 55F when we arrived, and it took two hours to heat up to 70F. The shower was a 1/2 stall, the kind that barely fits one large guy. The entire place seemed to be run by one kid (maybe 18 years old?) who did everything from check in to cooking to blowing leaves to check out; no one else there spoke english.

Great place to stay! Breathtaking view!

Parking and check in was really easy, the view was amazing, the bed was comfortable, and there was an awesome taco truck in the parking lot (i highly recommend the quesabirria tacos and the birria ramen!). The room was clean. Overall, everything was perfect!

Works as an adequate base for a stay in the area.

This facility has been updated in some ways from a more rustic original. It worked just fine as a base for our visit to the area in general. We did find that it was entirely too easy to trip the electric breaker in the room by running more than one higher-draw electrical device at the same time. The first time we did this, we had to wait on a staff member to reset the breaker and restore the electricity. After that, I learned where the breaker was (in an unlocked box near the rear of the building, not far from our door) and reset it myself. Not sure that this is good for a public facility, but it was easier to reset the breaker myself than to wait on staff to help. Basically, it's an OK place to use as a base. Clearly, the owners are absentee, at least in the fall season, and the managers/staff did a good job but were hired hands.

The sheets and towels were dirty, dust was all over the room fan. We were given the wrong door code so we couldn’t get into our room and then cleaners tried to come in before check out and walked straight in without knocking. The walls are paper thin so you’ll hear everything in surrounding rooms

Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Lighting was a little strange, no bedside lights. They emailed us a code to use to open the room door but it did not work. Had to get another code. Friendly, however. Electric receptacle in bathroom did not work, would not reset. Had to plug in elsewhere to dry hair. Shower would benefit from grab bars.

Great location. Clean and quiet room. Fantastic tacos at the food truck out front. I really wish they did not put that plug in air freshner in our room. Took me hours to discover the cause of the very strong fragrance. Opened the windows and then it was too cold. Not enough blankets.

The shower was unusable. The shower head didn’t work correctly so only a dribble of water came out. Office hours are extremely limited so no way to ask for help.

The parking lot needs upgraded and striped. The room was not freshened during my 3 day stay. The drains for the sink and shower were not very clean. The shower curtain had a stail or funky smell. I will not stay at this lodge again.

One issue after another...

1st - the code i was emailed didn't work. I had to find the email in my phone and call the number to get a new code. 2nd - there is no a/c and the ceiling fan wouldn't run without making a terrible noise so there was no white noise to fall asleep to. 3rd - the bed was super comfortable! but... 4th - the walls are paper thin and i could hear everything going on around me and out in the courtyard. 5th - it sounded like a furnace gurgling in the walls at various times throughout the night. I couldn't figure out what or where those sounds were. 6th - this is major, the heater in the bathroom was missing a cover and there were exposed live wires wit wire nuts sticking out. Not a problem for me BUT it could be a serious issue for children. not cool. 7th - there was a taco stand right there i wish i would have known about. i was so upset smelling that good food after I had already eaten coming into town :) It was a rough night to say the least.. BUT it was super convenient to wake up and hit RMNP right away.
