The Space:

Let the sunshine in, or let it snow, either way, you and your large group of guests are sure to have a memorable experience with a stay at this gorgeous, two-story getaway in Government Camp, Oregon. Built in 2021, this beautiful vacation rental features the perfect balance of rustic charm and bright, modern spaces with high-end furnishings. The top floor offers an open floor plan with soaring ceilings and large south-facing windows with mountainside views, providing ample natural light to the well-equipped, island kitchen with stainless steel appliances (including a wine fridge). The dining and counter area allows seating for up to fourteen and is connected to the main living area with a warming gas fireplace and a flatscreen TV for streaming all your favorite channels. Head downstairs and discover a cozy family room with an additional TV and gas fireplace. This space has heated entryway floors and opens out to the back patio and your very own private hot tub that is perfect for relaxing after enjoying a day on the mountain!



For sleeping options, take your pick from four cozy bedrooms, including a main bedroom featuring a king-size bed with en suite bath and another room with two full-size beds, both on the top floor. The lower level is home to two additional rooms including a double-queen-under-twin kid-friendly room, family room with two pull-out sofabeds, and a fourth bedroom with a second king-size bed.

Hood House is within walking distance to the center of Government Camp, sledding and Summit Pass, part of the Timberline ski area with winter tubing and public transportation up to Timberline Lodge. A half-mile away is Skibowl East, featuring night skiing and winter tubing, and Adventure Park featuring a zip line, an Alpine slide, mini-golf, mini-car racing, a ropes course, and summer tubing. This home has wonderful natural light that fills the great room. We enjoyed our stay here. Unfortunately, upon arrival, the hot tub was half empty with green/cloudy water. We used the hose to fill it up and found some spa chemicals to throw in it but it never really ever cleared up. That was a disappointment for considering the cost of the rental.

The amenities were spot on, it was a great location for Mt Hood and the Columbia River gorge and the responsiveness to our questions was quick and reliable. Great family house

Stayed here with my family of four over spring break. The House felt very new and extremely clean. It is in a perfect location - just a 2 or 3 minute walk to the middle of Government Camp. The hot tub was great after skiing and the kitchen had everything we needed.
