Fabulous stay

The house easily accommodated our party of 8 adults and 3 children with plenty of room for everyone and great outdoor space. Fully equipped kitchen and we made full use of bbq and sitting outdoors on the hottest weekend of the year. Would definitely stay again.

A great family stay in a central location

We were a family of 6 adults and three young children. We had a very enjoyable stay. Spring House met our every need. Plenty of room, good amenity, centrally located in the Cotswolds and relaxing. Highly recommended.

Great house for extended family get together

Spring House is impressive and has plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for a large family gathering. The dining kitchen was spacious and very well equipped. There is a functioning tennis court and large flat grassy areas for outdoor games. There are also plenty of spaces to sit outside. There are some roadworks close by which did not detract from our stay at a weekend but limited walking from the property which is otherwise very well situated for car and train travel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again.

A quiet location perfect for relaxing

We stayed at Spring House for the weekend and had an enjoyable time. The property is spacious and comfortably accommodates 9-10 adults. The outdoor space is great and plentyful. The location is quiet and we made the most of it by having relaxing evenings by the fire catching up with friends.

Great for a family gathering

Everything was lovely in the house. Perfect for a family gathering. However there were a lot of ladybirds in the front two bedrooms around the windows and ceiling, which might bother other guests a lot more. A suggestion would be to have a second TV option as we were a group of mixed ages.

Journey through the Cotswolds

Perfect size property for our group of 8. Central location for visiting many villages & Stonehenge. Highly recommend for spaciousness & privacy.

Fantastic weekend at spring house

The house is absolutely beautiful. Charming decor, huge, well equipped and warm. Upon arrival we checked the amount we had paid twice because we couldn’t believe it could actually have been so cheap. A great value booking for an October weekend in the Cotswolds.

December break

Fantastic long weekend at Spring House. The house is beautiful and was so warm and welcoming when we arrived. It was a perfect choice for my birthday get together with friends, everyone was so impressed with the comfort and cleanliness of the house. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need to cater for 11 people and the showers were excellent. I would definitely book again.

Beautiful house for a weekend stay

I stayed with a group of friends in this beautiful house. It is very spacious with beautiful, unique interiors. We enjoyed the 2 large dining tables and well equipped kitchen. We also appreciated the toiletries in every bathroom. It is in the middle of nowhere- Stockwell is just a farm really, but was quiet and we were able to walk from the house. The weather meant we didnt use the very large garden.

Perfect group getaway

We had a fantastic time at Spring House. There is so much space, both inside and out, with plenty of bathrooms and space for socialising. Every corner of the house is so tastefully decorated and was equipped with everything we needed for our weekend away. Location is so peaceful and only a short drive to Cheltenham so delivered the best of both worlds!

Beautiful large farmhouse with huge comfy beds

We had a wonderful stay at Spring House! What a beautiful large old farmhouse, ideally suited to a large family gathering, providing plenty of indoor and outdoor space, and we all appreciated the really comfortable beds and bedding. The house was in a tranquil setting with lovely views across the fields, and the agent was very responsive to any issues that we had. Set in a great spot with east access to some of the nearby towns and villages for walks and sightseeing. We are already planning or next stay with Bolthole Retreats!

A stunning home for making memories

Where to start. Our group of friends has an annual gathering across the Cotswolds every year and this was everyone's favourite so far. The home perfectly caters 11 people with plenty of space and areas for groups to be together spaciously. Everything was perfect, comfortable, beautifully decorated and well kitted out. The dining room was the perfect location to host our murder mystery dinner too. We loved it from start to finish.

Spring House break

A wonderful stay at Spring house. We were not disappointed on arrival. Comfortable bedrooms and sitting rooms. Super large kitchen with ample seating for 12 people. We were hoping for some warmer weather so as to make use of the garden area with some beautiful views and to possibly use the barbecue on one of the days. The property is just a short drive to most of the beautiful villages, Stow on the Wold and Bourton on the Water being just two. Its an extremely peaceful location so a restful night is assured. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property for large groups or families. One or two of the slightly cracked wooden floorboards could do with some repair, though that doesn't detract from the excellent experience we had. If looking for another property in the future I would definitely use Bolthole again.

Truly something special

From the moment we set foot in Spring House, we knew we had discovered something special. It's an elegant yet comforting Cotswold farmhouse. Every corner of Spring House felt carefully considered & the décor manages to be stylish without feeling overdone, making it warm & inviting. It is quite remote as it's in thel countryside near Cowley, but the surroundings are breathtaking. This place truly shines when it comes to space. With so many cozy communal areas, we drifted between lounges, the garden, and dining spaces. Check-in was seamless, the home spotless, and the team behind Bolthole Retreats responsive and thoughtful throughout our stay. If you're looking for a beautiful, spacious, and peaceful home-away-from-home in the Cotswolds, Spring House is it. With its thoughtful design, idyllic setting, and superior comfort, this retreat earns nothing less than a glowing recommendation and we’re already looking forward to a return visit!

Wonderful stay at Spring House

We spent a wonderful long weekend (3 nights) at Spring House with 7 friends. We were fortunate to have hot sunny weather throughout or stay, which allowed us to spend a lot of time outside eating, drinking and talking. Spring House is a real gem in a very peaceful location, part of a farm redevelopment. There is amble space outside to relax on the grass and the front of the house will be secluded from other properties on the estate when they are completed. The views are far reaching and we saw pheasants wandering by, as well as birds of prey wheeling in the sky. The house itself is spacious, well appointed and very homely, having not been "over-renovated". The beds are very comfortable and it swallowed up our party of 9 with its six bedrooms. There are two large lounges, lots of sofas, a large kitchen/breakfast room as well as a formal dining room. Everything was immaculate, given that it has only been taking lettings for just one month. The general consensus of all our friends was that they would highly recommend it for large families or groups of friends. We all thoroughly enjoyed it.
