Pictures and postings cannot do this place justice. It is phenomenal. We came for a close by spot to Salem and stayed for Glocester because of this place.

Spectacular property with great views

Property was absolutely beautiful. Lots of windows right on the water, two decks with seating overlooking the harbor. Extremely quiet, we slept great. Local food was fresh off the boat.

Perfect Cape Ann Getaway

Come for the breeze and the views alone. Stay to enjoy the great food and artsy or outdoorsy (take your pick) activities the region offers. Bonus - the owners are absolutely fabulous and very knowledgeable about things to do and see in the area.

Point Radio Cottage is one of those rare rentals that looks great online and is even better in person. The setting is stunning, the cottage is comfortable and well cared for, and it’s perfectly located for exploring Cape Ann. We enjoyed it so much we booked a return stay before finishing our first visit.The cottage sits on the grounds of a beautiful coastal property with phenomenal water views. It’s just minutes from Gloucester (and walkable if you’re up for a longer stroll along a gorgeous coastline), with easy drives to Rockport and Manchester-by-the-Sea. Salem is also a doable day trip.The cottage is well-appointed and extremely comfortable. The upstairs is a private primary suite (bedroom and bath), which made it feel spacious and quiet. Everything was thoughtfully set up for a relaxing stay.A fun bonus is the property’s history: the cottage was built above a foundation constructed for what John Hays Hammond originally intended to have been his Castle. The owners provide a comprehensive notebook explaining the background, and the well-stocked bookshelves include Hammond’s autobiography for anyone who wants to dive deeper.The landscaped grounds are great for wandering. If you’re more adventurous, there are stone steps down to a rocky beach at the base of the cottage.If you’re looking for a peaceful Cape Ann getaway with incredible scenery, easy access to nearby towns, and a comfortable home with real character, Point Radio Cottage is an excellent choice.
When I book a stay, I didn't realize that I had photographed the property form onboard a whale watch boat the previous fall.
The cottage sits above the foundation for what was initially intended to have been Hammond Castle. The 40-foot "Natalia" was guided from Gloucester to Boston on this property, with no one on board.

Calming and peaceful stay

Awesome view. Watching and listening to the water was so peaceful and relaxing. Everything in the home was perfectly set up. We were really impressed with the cleanness as well as the amazing landscape on the property. Would love to stay there again the next time we visit

Great views

Private and very clean. If you are on the balconies, it still feels private because the other house always had their shades down. Quiet and peaceful. It was really neat to walk around the property and the short walk to the park.

We had a wonderful stay in Gloucester. The home was so comfortable and welcoming. An easy walk to the ocean. We really enjoyed getting acquainted with the local area. Everything you could possibly need is within a 5 minute drive. Loved it.😊

Point Radio Cottage

We enjoyed our stay at Point Radio Cottage. Very beautiful cottage . Enjoyed the peace and quiet every room has a beautiful view of the ocean with all the many boats going by . Enjoyed waking around the grounds of the property. Lots of lovely flowers different species of birds enjoying the flowers . My husband enjoys walking down the stairs to get to the ocean when the tide was low so he got to see a few crabs and starfish. We were able to bring our fur baby (Mila) who also enjoyed her stay . we had the pleasure of meeting the owner (Jacob ) very nice gentleman . I highly recommend this place if wanting a quiet relaxing getaway
